How high do you think is the likelihood that we're going to see Blackpink perform at the Super Bowl?
They're one of the biggest Kpop group with hundreds of millions of followers across social media platforms and they have headlined big festivals like Coachella before. Could you see them be invited to perform on one of Americas biggest stage?

  1. Currently no chance.

They need to have some #1 hits globally in the future to get there.

Id even say its far away from BTS and they are the much bigger artists representative of Kpop.

  2. If they were going to do a K-pop group, it would be them, but they aren’t, so there isn’t much to talk about.

  3. Very unlikely. It’s a paid spot and YG spending amount for Blackpink? Not in a million years 🤣🤣🤣

Like 0%, and I say that for any kpop group. Even IF some kpop group just absolutely dominated ALL US charts, it’s just not the demographic for the nfl / main fans that the SB attract (not saying that the SB doesn’t attract more casual viewers, I would just think Roger Godell would want to keep more of his fanbase happy) There’s already outrage over bad bunny doing it lol

  5. As cool as it would sound, not sure it would ever happen. Jay Z’s company is the one in charge now and they get the final say on performers. However, I will be surprised if it ever happens, but I think a group like bts would have the higher probability of performing a halftime show

  6. EXTREMELY unlikely firstly Blackpink is not an A-List Musician in the United States so it’s gonna get offered to almost everyone before it ever reaches Blackpink. Two, Super Bowl performers do not get paid so I don’t see Blackpink/YG accepting that they will spend millions of dollars to host a superbowl stage that most likely will not result in a massive boost in popularity here enough to pay off what they spent. Third, Korean is not widely spoken in the us and they really racist over here so it might not be well received though I’m gonna stand by them. Fourth, I don’t think Blackpink could give a good superbowl performance realistically all the members do not give the same energy and all of them are really bad at giving long sets where they’d have to sing the whole time. If they stop singing even once to catch their breath they will be severely criticized.

Look at how people responded to Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl, and he’s an American citizen. The response towards Blackpink will be the same or worse. This country is filled with racists and bigots. I would hate for them to see such negativity.

  8. The problem isn’t if they’re allowed to, the problem is their audience venn diagram with the NFL audience. Most Asian countries are not that into American football and very little of the American football audience is into kpop. From a business perspective it makes no sense to have them at the superbowl.

The Super Bowl outside of the football itself is one of the most watched television events in the world (second only to the World Cup) and every second it’s on the air is an incredible cost just to take part. For Blackpink it would be great for exposure but because the audience is not a good fit for them, the cost would far outweigh the benefits (increased album or tour sales).

The closest situation would maybe be like Ejae and company performing the KPDH soundtrack because of the global appeal across every demographic but I don’t think they’re ready for that kind of stage yet.

  9. The only way this could happen is if they are a supporting act to a bigger artist they collaborated with before.

People are saying it wouldn’t happen in Trump’s America but I don’t think they would’ve performed before him either. Only if they really get some break out hits, but they barely release music as a group so I don’t see it happening. I do think they have a better chance than any other kpop group, especially since they’re female, and will have better reception to a US audience than a korean boy group. But that also works against them simultaneously, along with the negative reception kpop has among a lot of people in general.

Never say never but very unlikely. The NFL hasn’t exactly interacted a lot in Korea (or most Asian countries aside Japan), and many in their hardcore fanbase are the type of people who’d think they’re *3 Chinese girls and an Hindu.* If some are already in their feelings over a Puerto Rican performing at the Super Bowl, imagine if they put a K-Pop act.

I could see them doing something like Worlds at some point whenever it’s held in Korea next (specially with how big of a power they are in LoL and e-Sports + the precedents of K/DA in 2018 and New Jeans in 2023), or maybe even the World Cup if Korea were to host it in 2038 and the girls were still together as a group. But the Super Bowl, or nearly any other American big game? Unlikely. Maybe first pitch at a MLB game but that’d be it.

I could see one of the members supporting as part of a bigger artist’s show, but as a group, no chance.

Absolutely zero. Ppl are asking for the singing ladies of Kpop Demon Hunters to show up for a surprise set or guest of Bad Bunny. No other Kpop group or soloist has entered the cultural zeitgeist to be mentioned or considered.

  14. Spice Girls never played the Super Bowl and they were arguably more cross generational and bigger in America. So as much as I love BP, their chances are slim.

Only thing I could see happen is if Bruno would perform, then Rosé could make an apperance. Other then that, zero chance

Probably 0. People can’t even handle bad bunny, I can’t imagine them handling a Korean girl group. Plus it seems that BP is more popular in SEA for the most part, not that they aren’t popular over here too. I just don’t think it will happen. MAYBE if they were on another western artists song as a collaborative thing.

0.1 Considering how upset people got when Bad Bunny was announced, no way they would even try to bring it up. They’d kill it, but unlikely down to negligible chances. But never quite zero. (edit for spelling. How did I spell “negligible right and f up zero?)
