I will not speculate on what caused this decision, but it does bring them in line with other big idol groups. This even includes projects like food trucks and microphones/in-ear equipment.

  1. Probably just a volume issue. I know someone who’s a fanclub admin of a mid-tier idol group and they said that the group receives so many gifts, especially during comebacks and birthdays, and the company doesn’t know where to store them. What more for top groups like IVE?

  2. I think it’s a great decision. Love the girls but honestly they are more than well-off. Buying some album/merch and going to concerts (within means) is more than enough to show our support.

  3. I agree with this decision. I understand fans wanting to celebrate idol birthdays but its a bit ridiculous to the gifting for example Wonyoung designer clothes and several mics and in-ears while she’s buying a million dollar house in cash and is an ambassador of several luxury brands. All the IVE members are millionaires at this point and can afford such things. Maybe fans can donate funds to a good cause in IVE members name.

yeah I think it’s a good decision, maybe because some might sneak things or cameras in them like teddy bears or even the labubus/skullpandas I see them gift them at fansigns a lot.. it’s probably a safety concern
