Q: How did this photoshoot for the Chinese magazine feel? Which outfit/look was your favorite?
IRENE: When I wore it myself, I found the first gray outfit and this outfit pretty. In the photos, this outfit was pretty, and I think the photos with the padded jacket worn over my head were really pretty too.
Q: What kind of music do you like to listen to in your private time?
IRENE: These days, as it’s getting colder and Christmas is approaching, I listen to carols, and I also listen to music that makes you feel warm.
Q: What kind of existence is music for Irene?
IRENE: It’s something that makes my emotions feel richer so there are times when I’m thankful for it but there are also times when I feel the need to keep a little distance from it?
Q: How has your daily life been like recently, and which moments in your everyday life make you feel happy?
IRENE: I tend to live a simple and repetitive life. I think my set routine makes me comfortable, even if it doesn’t exactly bring much happiness.
Q: What’s your favorite flower?
IRENE: I like tulips the most
Q: What is your favorite Korean dish? If there’s a dish you’re good at cooking, which one would it be?
IRENE: I like my grandma’s spicy beef and radish soup the most. I don’t cook very often. I only do it when I feel like making something delicious for myself, maybe once or twice a year. Recently, I really enjoyed making and eating LA galbi, as well as things like eggplant rice and egg soup.
Q: What was your favorite travel destination this year? What did you do there?
IRENE: It was not for a vacation, but I went to London for SMTOWN. I had some free time so I was able to go around, rest in parks, look at the sky, and watch a musical. I spent some relaxing time and I really liked it.
Q: What is Irene’s skincare routine like? Do you have any secrets for keeping your skin in good condition?
IRENE: I’m not really the type to do a lot for my skincare so I don’t really have a routine. I just make sure to wash my face well, and sometimes, depending on my skin’s condition, I do the appropriate care. My skin has been quite dry lately so I’ve been applying some light products often.
Q: What do you use the most in your winter outfits?
IRENE: Probably, the mugwort hotpack and a scarf?
Q: When putting together outfits, do you have any color combinations or small tips that you use often?
IRENE: If you look at the clothes I wear the most, they’re all in neutral colors so even if I do it this way or that way, all the combinations work well together. Even if I don’t pay much attention to it, it can all be worn naturally.
Q: What are the things you always carry in your bag when you go out?
IRENE: These days, I make sure to bring lip balm. I bring my lip balm, my earphones, my wallet… what else is there? My hot pack, and such.
Q: Do you have plans for Christmas and New Year this year?
IRENE: I don’t have plans yet. But starting about 2 years ago, I usually have events or schedules to meet fans around that time so I’m looking forward to seeing if I will again this year.
Q: Is there anything you’d like to say to your Chinese fans who have always supported you?
IRENE: We don’t see each other often, but I think it isn’t easy to always support someone sincerely and to always wish someone well with their whole heart. Thank you so so much for wholeheartedly supporting me and being by my side. (In Chinese) Thank you~

irene just knowing what her skin needs is a flex. i need data for that. i track my hydration and acne scores on skintale to verify my condition daily. helps me adjust the routine dynamically just like she does
