Watching this felt as if Seonghwa personally unplugged my brain and caused it to shut down for good.

This was crazy. There’s so much to think about (which I’m sure people smarter than me will have many theories about!) I’m just so glad that he was able to make such a fascinating music video. Like he’s so!! cool!! I’m so proud of him!

You can feel the taemin influence in the video treatment and I love it. It’s been so cool seeing each of these videos showcase each member individually.

Seonghwa’s willingness to fully embody and experiment with whatever weird/unhinged/out of the box concepts he comes up with is one of my favorite things about him. Watching him makes my little inner theatre-kid scream with joy.

Oh wow… There’s so much I want to say.
To me, the MV feels like it symbolizes **Seonghwa finally accepting his “demon” side and reaching his full artistic potential by the end.**
At the beginning, he wakes up suddenly… he’s confused, disoriented, and struggling to escape what looks like his own flesh. And then we see him “shedding,”. I think this represents the parts that may be unwanted or uncomfortable, but are still undeniably him. Something he can’t ignore or escape. Once he stops running he actually examines those shed parts of himself and able to cross the line (after a lil hesitation).
Crossing the line feels especially important here. That line can represent anything: the boundary between right and wrong, what’s acceptable and unacceptable, safe and dangerous, unique identity and fitting in etc. And by choosing to cross it he is finally able face his **inner demon**. *AND I LOVE THIS SCENE* because it’s supposed to feel scary but it feels like acceptance. Soooooo satisfying to see him transform and reach his full artistic self by embracing every part of who he is, even the darker or more unsettling ones.
**Quite literally grew into his own SKIN** *(Love the little details like the different eye colors and the snake skin suit)*. And if you know his personal struggles and his story this feels even more beautiful imo.
Also, more importantly, PARK SEONGHWAAAAAAA ARGHHHHH!!! 🔥🔥🙌🥹❤️🔥🥹❤️🔥🥹🔥🔥✨

I think it’s interesting how much you can see that Taemin and DPR Ian influenced him. To be honest a lot of people will say they like Taemin and I’m sure they do but it always feels a bit surface level. This showed that Seonghwa absolutely not only understands but likes the darker elements, sensuality, duality, conflict, and androgyny Taemin presents. As a long time Taemin fan that feels so cool to see. Even the choreography shows that.
The best part is it never feels like a copy. It feels like someone saw something and realized it was an option and went for it in their own way. It feels very distinctly Seonghwa. Watching this I felt like I got a stronger idea of his identity almost more than any other video or content. I’m excited to see more solo projects from him.
Also plugging my favorite fancam of his because it totally matches this vibe
OBSESSED!! His whole vibe here is perfection. The special effects are so cool and I love the dancers

gawddd I loveed it when he shed that dull black shirt to reveal the snake patterned outfit underneath, it all feels like more than just a visual switch. The patterns felt like it’s his individuality, and he’s saying yeah, I’m finally here… And I’m not going to hide anymore. I think there’s also a layer of genderlessness that he’s been vocal about.
even his aura changed from that moment on, he looked freer, more expressive, and less restrained in his movement…. So gorgeous and so inspiring

God I love Seonghwa. I’m always really struck by how strong his sense of artistic direction is. Obviously his inspirations aren’t subtle (he’s never shied from talking about them either), but knowing him and following him, this is *so* very Seonghwa.
I think it’s impressive that, as an artist who hasn’t done any solo work up to now, I can say that about him—that this plays so well into ideas he’s flirted with throughout his career even within group work. He loves his sense of drama, storytelling, the dark and sensual, and I think roles and identity as a whole are a big thing for him. Expressing multiple sides of a person, playing characters not just as a thing he has to do as an artist but as a theme in of itself, and, yeah, gender roles, you can’t skirt around that. It’s pretty in your face here.
I know he was nervous about this one and worried that he wasn’t going to be able to portray it the way he wanted to, but I think it turned out so well. I so desperately want to see more solo work from him.
