HYBE JAPAN Co., Ltd., the Japanese headquarters of HYBE, announced on the 5th that it has established a new label, “JCONIC.”

The label is founded on the philosophy of creating icons that symbolise a new era from Japan.

During its announcement, HYBE explained that the move is based on its growth strategy “HYBE 2.0,” which aims to further expand as a global entertainment company.

Under this strategy, HYBE promotes a “Multi-home, Multi-genre” approach, developing businesses tailored to the culture and characteristics of each region. HYBE JAPAN has been building an independent multi-label system based on this policy, and the establishment of JCONIC serves as a core initiative within that framework.

They stated that “Through business diversification and the deepening of expertise, it seeks to further strengthen its competitiveness and presence within the Japanese entertainment market.”

In addition, the new company, JCONIC, will officially be established on January 1st, 2026.

“Carrying the philosophy of “creating icons that symbolise a new era from Japan,” JCONIC aims to develop and produce artists who become lasting “symbols” in people’s memories.

By grounding its work in Japan’s unique sense of aesthetics, precision, and philosophy, and also by integrating strategy, production, and management, the company will focus on music, visuals, ideology, and overall presence as a unified whole.

With the launch of the new company, HYBE JAPAN’s multi-label structure will be reorganized. The organizations to which &TEAM and aoen previously belonged will be operated as separate legal entities starting January 1st, 2026.

YX LABELS, home to &TEAM, will continue to be led by Han Hyun-rock, who serves as HYBE JAPAN’s Representative Director and CEO. Meanwhile, aoen will become part of the new company JCONIC, where efforts will focus on strengthening and expanding a business foundation optimized for the Japanese market and audience.

Regarding JCONIC’s management structure, Kenji Shima has been appointed as Representative Director, and JEFF MIYAHARA will serve as Head of Creative.

HYBE commented that it expects the two, with their extensive experience and deep insight into the Japanese entertainment industry, to strongly drive JCONIC’s operations and growth.

Hopefully this means Aoen will get more resources and promotion, given that their company will no longer have to divide attention between them and &Team. I love both groups, but Aoen is deeply underrated, and the boys deserve a chance to truly shine & make a name for themselves. 💙💙💙
