Finally gave Woodz’s Drowning a listen the other day. It’s amazing…I can’t believe I waited this long to do it. I mean I knew it was going to be good, it’s charting this long this high for a reason. To be honest, you can credit Yoo Jae Suk’s 3rd Annual Pinggyego Awards ceremony where Woodz performed “Drowning” to how I finally heard the song after all this time.

Drowning at number 1 is so deserved… Drowning is *peak* vocally driven yearning music and just an incredible song overall, and Woodz is one of the most talented and resilient people in the industry.
The last time a soloist took first place was IU with Celebrity in 2021, Edam must have an eye for soloists with the way 100% of their artists have hit #1 on Melon’s annual chart this decade.
