No Way Back is crazy. Enhypen and Soyoon is one of those collabs that I never really thought about before, but it is so much better than I could’ve imagined it being.

Sooo short. No way back is the only song making it into my playlist. This felt like a mini album (edit, IT IS LMAO. I guess I got confused with the track numbers thinking it was going to be a classic Hybe 8 song ‘album’).
Everything else was either half a song or a spoken interlude. The final track started off really vibey before the talking started and I realised I was actually already done with the album and it was an outro.
Stealer and sleep tight have very enjoyable verse/pre chorus sections for me. It’s the choruses that I don’t like much, and again in these brief songs it’s a very large percentage of listening time lol. I think stealer has such a nice pre chorus I’ll learn to live with it like Mamma Mia from IZNA
Updating this to say listening with all narration removed on loop I’m definitely enjoying it more thoroughly. Just wish they were longer.

Frankly, I’m a little disappointed. No Way Back is the only track here that I can see myself coming back to (and it is *very* good). But the interludes/narrative tracks feel like a peculiar decision. I think they’re interesting, and a great inclusion, as some of my favourite albums of all time prominently feature interludes and such, but to have only five proper, full songs on an eleven track mini album is slightly excessive. It feels unbalanced, and I frequently found myself checking the runtime on the interludes, waiting to get to an actual song.
Enhypen b-side kings cooked again. The production on the whole album is insane. Even the narrations have gorgeous music
Knife being one of the weaker songs on here. Especially when Stealer follows it on the tracklist.
But 5 narrations (including the intro and outro) on an 11 track album is unheard of to me, with nearly every song under 3 minutes.
Enhypen never disappoints for me. Loving all these songs so far.
STEALER AND LOST ISLAND ARE EATING SO HARD
no way back ateeee !!! i love the general vibe/mood this album has!! i feel like this is the first album (personally) that i really felt the connection between concept photos and the music lol

Who thought all those narrations were a good idea… the album is so much better when you hide them. I genuinely struggled to enjoy any of the songs on the first listen (with the narrations), but the second listen without them was fire.
No Way Back – it sounds soooo sexy, omg? it’s more rap heavy than I’d expected but I don’t mind, the dark ambience of this track is PERFECTION. SoYoon adds a nice touch of softness to the moody darkness. The bridge is GORGEOUS.
Knife – Super catchy, has me headbanging at my desk. I love Jake’s first verse with that bit of falsetto. The lyrics are exceptional though I don’t like this genre usually. All the little english bits in the verses are unique and catchy!
Stealer – The booty shaking beat is fire, but that whiney chorus, omg? The laidback, almost bratty vibe is just… 😩 I’m gonna grow to love it, I just know!
Big Girls Don’t Cry – their voices sound so @%$# hotttttt, I’m not okay 😭 Criminally short but not sure i’d be able to take more anyway.
Lost Island – It’s so groovy and chill and perfect for this spot in the album. The harmonies are beautiful here, this is such a perfect song to just loop and vibe to. Heeseung on the last chorus though, he sounds SO smooth. Love this so much!!
Sleep Tight – It’s so pretty, and has Jake all over it. The adlibs in the back all throughout are heavenly. a perfect closer.
I like the narrations too, they fit in pretty seamlessly and match the songs’ atmosphere. Looking forward to translated lyrics coz I wanna know how the story connects. Will be skipping them on relistens tho.
Overall, a stellar album! One of, if not the best by Enhypen! It’s more rap heavy than i’d expected and I’m not a rap person but the raps blended into the singing perfectly and I like them all! The vocals were all full of attitude without being obnoxious at all – just perfect! And it’s so dark and moody which is exactly what we all love. Off first listen, my favourite is No Way Back, with Lost Island being a close second. I thought BGDC would be my least favourite but it’s so HOT that idk anymore. there’s nothing I dislike even slightly.
The year is off to a great start thanks to Enhypen!!

i think hybe groups have good ideas but the way they execute them just isn’t 100%. hate all the narration, i don’t care about it, i want songs.
i like lost island and sleep tight, i was moving a bit. knife isn’t bad at all but it’s so short. i feel like there’s no point in even listening when everything is 2 minutes, obviously that’s not changing within the industry but my god.
it’s the same shit with txt too, good ideas with lackluster execution and the songs over in two seconds. i’m gonna relisten in the morning to see what i think..
I have no idea what everyone is talking about, I loved the narrations and I thought it made for such a cool listening experience.
I struggled with the first listen, the narrations/interludes unfortunately ruined the flow of the album for me. Trying again without them to see if it works better for me.
Edit: it works better for me without the narrations/interludes. Sleep Tight was the stand out to me.
I’m a casual listener of Enhypen, Polaroid Love and Sweet Venom are my fave songs of theirs… but I think Sleep Tight might be joining those ranks!
I enjoyed Stealer and Knife as well, do they normally do a lot of narrations in their albums? I was like oh wow Korean named songs! And then got tricked!! lmaoo but it was cute

All the songs are so good but TOOO SHORT I feel like a broken record
As expected from the teasers, I love “No way back” – but unexpectedly, I don’t love it as much as I thought I would. It’s a good song, but not outstanding to me.
The narrations are certainly very unique, but unfortunately, I could have definitely lived without them. When you have 11 tracks and only 6 are “proper” songs (which are also quite short), it just feels incomplete. I will try with the English narrations though, maybe it’ll be a different experience. It also feels a bit weird that the members aren’t doing the narrations.
Last but not least, the common theme for Enhypen continues: b-sides outshining the title track. “Knife” feels too repetitive to me and I wish they had chosen “No way back” instead. Loving the groove of “Lost island”. “Big girls don’t cry” feels like an interlude and I have no clue where it’s going.
One thing I’ve noticed: Hybe groups (including subunits and solos) seem to do so well promotion-wise. They have so many creative ideas that get me all hyped up – but the end product tends to fall a bit flat.
I was looking for a follow up to Moonstruck. Got it in No Way Back. Thanks Enhypen.
My ranking:
**1. Lost Island:** very pretty song, loved the vocals, and I’m in love with Sunoo’s line near the end.
**2. Sleep Tight:** it’s a really nice and soothing (but not boring) song.
**3. Stealer:** the instrumental is crazy good, I’m not sure about the verses but they’re growing on me.
**4. No Way Back:** nice song but it’s not my type, kinda too heavy for me, I loved Jay’s vocals though.
**5. Knife:** boring and generic, there were a couple of fun bits though.
**6. Big Girls Don’t Cry:** I didn’t like it.
Overall I think I prefer it over Desire: Unleash but it’s not even near my favorite releases by them.
About No Way Back. It comes off like they were going for a haunting sound and it might have worked if the autotune wasn’t too loud. There were times when the guys voices and soyoon were drowned or muffled by the autone. It was hard to tell who was singing.
Lost Island was probably my favorite track on the album. I’ll probably give the album another listen later for another feel.

sleep tight genuinely might be their best b side. i’ve always thought enhypen would thrive in an r&b concept. a CLASSIC r&b sound and this proved exactly that. they thrive in that element so well ESPECIALLY heeseung and jake
