I wanted to sit down and think pretty hard on how good each album is and how much I enjoyed it. Just to preface I love each and every album (which is why they’re all S) but some are better than others. I don’t want to put an album down or anything, I just wanted to have an open discussion and present the opportunity for all of us to learn more about ourselves and more about LS by thinking deeper about their music.
All the albums are in order but the ones in the same tier are pretty close. And I’m technically judging but despite what I say, there’s not a single song in LS’s discography I don’t like ♥️

Antifragile – imo this remains as their best album to date. Peak Le Sserafim identity. Every track reinforces the core theme of growth through hardship, while simultaneously being extremely replayable. Fun, oozes confidence, emotionally grounding, and the story/message is cohesive front to back. To kpop standards this album is truly lightning-in-a-bottle.

Unforgiven – ambitious and defining. It expands their worldview beyond just confidence into self-authorship and rejection of external judgment. Im not in love with the title track, but with it being the biggest album, (7 new songs) it speaks volumes when they take on this many genres and make them all bangers. Has a strong conceptual through-line, but I think slightly less cohesive than Antifragile or Easy. Plus is has FEARNOT, what more can be said 😆❤️

Easy – Their most honest and emotionally resonant project. They project vulnerability without losing strength. Even if less explosive than other releases, its subtle production and introspective themes give it lasting impact. Swan Song hits you right in the feels, and Smart has a fun and easy-going vibe but simultaneously makes you think about your life and motivates you to keep going.

Hot – Has a strong, immersive atmosphere, controlled emotion, and Ash elevates it beyond a simple vibe album. It feels like the reflection after growth rather than the growth itself (a good thing). Upon first listen when it came out I honestly thought it was their best work for awhile, (those 2 ending tracks were really something else) it’s also my second favorite title track. But upon thinking more deeply it doesn’t have the same amount of emotion, themes, or introspection as the other albums.

Fearless – Minimalist, elegant, and foundational. While simpler than later releases, it establishes their identity clearly and still holds up musically. Strong energy with timeless tracks. Huge impact for a debut, but it doesn’t hit as hard in hindsight once you’ve seen how deep they go later. However the story from the track Fearless to Sour Grapes is chefs kiss, and definitely bumps it up a tier.

Crazy – Fun, unapologetic, and chaotic – in a good way. But it’s more outward-facing than emotionally deep. Great for performance and hype, it just doesn’t resonate as long-term or as personally as their more introspective pieces. But it definitely has its place as it shakes up their usual themes and fits in more energetic tracks. I see this as LS’s chapter of how they already went through the struggle, they self-reflected, and now they’re succeeding; so they just wanna have fun. And share it with us too 🙂
So that was it. Just a reminder I love love love Le Sserafim, and like all their music, and don’t mean to demean them or your guy’s fav songs in any way. Just wanted some light-hearted discussion. So what do you guys think?

> [Crazy is] more outward-facing than emotionally deep.
I disagree with this particular point. I think that Crazy is their most existential album insofar as it’s an album about where they find meaning. Chasing Lightning has a really lovely narrative arc about things being personally meaningful despite external pressures against them. Pierrot is like Nagel’s *The Absurd* on steroids. Crazier is literally the climax of the emotional arc that they’d been building since Fearless. (To be fair, I do think that Crazy and 1-800 are both kind of meaning-light, but the other three more than make up for that imo).
Slight caveat, HOT is honestly my favorite EP just depending on what lens I’m looking at it through. I tried to be more objective on this post.
Crazy in my opinion is unique, exciting and suited perfect to the girls. They probably won’t repeat that concept ever but for me still their best album even wasn’t so appreciated than the other ones.
I have ANTIFRAGILE in a tier of its own but otherwise this tier list looks great. ANTIFRAGILE is one of my three favorite k-pop albums along with ITZY’s GUESS WHO and i-dle’s I burn.
On CRAZY, while I don’t consider it “introspective” besides Crazier, it’s definitely them telling the naysayers to fuck off and just have fun with their self-expression. There’s always a place for that kind of range in a discography, and so while I’d also place it last, it’s got two of the best songs in their entire collection for pure vibes and hype.
I’m tempted to swap UNFORGIVEN and EASY but Eve Psyche tips the scales hard for me.
1) Hot
2) Crazy
3) Antifragile
4) Easy
5) Unforgiven
6) Fearless
With Unforgiven , i just dont like how its set up with the previous songs put in this album (although understandable) and its being label as a full album. If we ignore that , i think its a solid album with good storytelling.
Other ones i put the order of my criteria of , cohesive sound throughout , the message of the album , the actual album itself (designs, photobook etc) and what the era made me feel as a whole. Basically im not only ranking it based on the songs in the album but its overall .
I chuckled at your tiers
I’d switch Hot and Crazy. But I mostly agree with this list
