Someone at the Guardian is super stoked about the comeback, and rightly so! These lists are so subjective, but I like to read the reasoning. Where is Dimple, which was at the top of Rolling Stone’s list?

It somewhat gives the tone of ‘oh for gods sake, my editor told me I have to write this article, UGH – oh, well, it’s actually – kind of okay, actually kind of good, but I STILL don’t REALLY enjoy it, okay??’. But at least our Queen was #1.

This is the most bizarre list and the descriptions of what the songs are about are all so superficial. Feels like the guy just described the musical influences but didn’t really engage much with the lyrics—some of those quotes come off as though he googled a line or two and based his whole analysis off of it. His take on Black Swan is just ???
I also feel as though he maybe listened to a couple of their more popular songs and just ranked those.
Why not give this article to an actual ARMY?? It’s not like we’re hard to find.

we all know their title tracks are all great songs but i wish these kinds of lists weren’t always mostly (if not all) title tracks. it just feels lazy like they didn’t bother to listen to any of the albums and threw in some bsides to make it look like they did (i love boyz with fun but idk if i would put it in the top 15 of all time it just seems a little random to me) in my subjective opinion. at least spring day was number 1 lol

dynamite at number six??? come on now i absolutely love bts but i think most people would agree that dynamite doesn’t even touch the top half of their discography, their music is just that good. i agree with everyone else, this feels like the reviewer looked at a list of their title tracks, shuffled by ‘most played in korea’ and randomised it a little bit lol

I guess it’s what we can expect from most western journalists during this comeback and tour: bts is for farming engagement clicks, not for genuine appreciation. When they’re not writing about “controversies” it will be these superficial listicles that cater to non-fans only and just irritate the rest of us
