Announcing BTS: THE RETURN, a feature-length documentary I directed, premiering on @/netflix.

Made in collaboration with HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC, alongside @/thismachinefw and @/thefutureiseast, the film follows @/bts.bighitofficial as they reunite after completing military service and come back together in Los Angeles to make music again – returning to a shared creative space shaped by time apart and personal change.

This was a massive, often seemingly impossible project, and I’m thankful to everyone who helped bring it to life. I’ll be sharing more personal reflections as we get closer to the premiere.

BTS: THE RETURN premieres March 27 on Netflix, following BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, streaming live from Seoul on March 21.

Oh this is the first documentary that’s not done by Park Junsoo. Looking forward to how a new/outside director would be directing them.

  4. “This was a massive, often seemingly impossible project…”. If you had ever seen an OT7 live, you would have known the chaos you were in for. 😂💜
