‘Through this tour it felt like we all grew together,’ said by Rose, feels so important. Basically, our girls are free now – unlike most other K‑Pop idols who are tied to long‑term contracts. And even after a contract ends, it’s usually not easy for idols to stand on their own feet.
But Lisa, Jennie, Rose and Jisoo are so popular and successful that they can do whatever they want. So when Lisa says ‘I realized how much the members mean to me,’ it becomes a very strong statement.
Sure, they were all emotional, and we’ll see what happens in the next few months. But I think these sentences are powerful, and for me they carry more weight than what we heard after the Born Pink Tour. Now, with all 4 of them independent, their words feel more personal, more intentional, and more revealing.
What do you think? I’m sure they’ll continue doing their solo work – they love it. But beyond the rational argument that BP boosts their solo careers, I also think they’ve become closer now.
Did the tour change your opinion about their future?

i think they’ll go on an indefinite hiatus after their 10th anniversary. it would’ve been possible to do group and solo activities but YG has clearly limited their creative abilities and i think they’re happier solo because of that. i can see them reuniting in like 5 years for another album tho
BlackPink is like home base for them. The can pursue other endeavors and be successful but the comfort of home feels real good at times. They didn’t really need to sign on for deadline but did. And seem to really have enjoyed the tour part. Let’s see what happens after the album drops, but I’m hopeful BlackPink will continue on past this year
On one hand I think they won’t tour together or make another album for a long time. But on the other hand it’s hard to imagine they ignoring the opportunity to capitalize a new album
