    (There was supposed to be 25 finalists but some withdrew, which is why the contestant numbers jump around a bit)

    Based on the first episode they seem like a really talented group of girls overall! Jayla, Hiori, Seria, Aoi, Elena, Naru, and Ayana particularly stood out to me.

    Some familiar faces from previous survival shows as well and there’s a lot of older (relatively speaking ofc) girls there so they seem to be focusing on experience to better match up with the trio already selected. It was really interesting to see how diverse the looks/vibes of the trainees they picked out from the open auditions were, they seem to want a unique girl who can really stand out both from the other finalists and the three fixed members

    I also never knew Sara/Sarah was such a popular name in Japan lol

    Quite surprised by the variety of profiles. You can tell different ages and styles. I like it

    I like that they all have a very different vibe- makes me wonder if they already have a rough concept in mind or several different ideas

    I view these scouting campaigns as a way for HxG to build a bench of girls they can mold into different groups and concepts. Kind of a brilliant idea if you think about it. Dream Academy formed Katseye, Prelude (+ additional member), Adela, and other solo acts. It’s a win-win if you really think about it. You don’t make the group? People still know who you are.

    Without knowing anything else about them I’m guessing Jayla and/or Aoi are gonna make it, they’re the conventionally prettiest (imo) so they’ll be guaranteed to have people voting for them if they’re at least halfway talented

    after watch ep 1 im most excited for Sara M., Honoka K., Hiori, Seria and Aoi

    I also liked Shaina but i don’t see her making it to the finale

    Woah it’s so refreshing to see normal girls, who didn’t have tons of plastic surgery. They all look really pretty ❤️

    Based on previous survival shows Sakura, Ayana, and Jayla have a good chance of making it. Though the new girls or Rinka could suprise us

    JAYLAAAAAA NO WAYYYY !!!! She’s talented guys give her a chance 🙏🗣 (she was on universe ticket, survival show where unis was created)

    so happy to see Rinka here! she’s really grown on me over the past few years (she posted singing covers very consistently though she’s deleted a good chunk of them now). she was also awesome in Chuang Asia! idk if she’ll make it but I’m really rooting for her to go far and debut in a group!

    There were rumors Ua and Hinari were part of this trainee pool, but I’m glad they’re not. It would be insanely unfair if three of their co-contestants were guaranteed a spot in the group because “we know them from Dream Academy” while they weren’t given the same opportunity.
