Love how they all have a part at the beginning of the song! Jennie & Rose bridge part was so good!!

Definitely an interesting, new sound for them.
Brings new meaning to the idea of an “empty” chorus, but the production itself is *really* impressive and fills up the space.
Personally I love how it sounds, but I can see this being hit or miss for people.
I really do appreciate them trying something radically different here, as it would’ve been easy to mail in another copy of themselves.
It’s surprisingly melodic given the turn the song takes at the drop but I like the balance they struck. Lyrics are whatever – I was surprised at first to read Chris Martin is the first credit but after hearing it I’m less surprised lol. Very curious to see if this has choreography because I have no idea what’s gonna happen during the hooks.

I like the juxtaposition between the atmospheric and mysterious vocal parts and the extremely heavy, aggressive electronic drops. It was a disjointed but the energy is intense. I do wish they would do more group vocals and make it sound like an actual group song like back in the good old days but this instrumental was tight, very vibey, I liked it more than Jump.

I think Jisoo’s voice worked well with the song. Overall, it’s not doing much for me though.

maybe im crazy but the song sounds good in its own parts (prechorus, verses, raps) but as a whole it just sounds a bit choppy and messy, and i was a bit underwhelmed by the chorus idk, loved the aesthetics though.

The bridge has to be one of their bests yet. I think it’s the best part of the song for me.

Well, didn’t care for that.

The visually overwhelming AI is not it for me, but I’m intrigued by th fresh look and sound.

it’s weird so for blackpink idk how i feel about it yet. i bet the bsides will be my jam tho

Does the beginning seem out of beat with the instrumental? It’s like the vocal track and instrumental are racing each other.
BoogieWoogieFengShui on
honestly it sounds like the outro of a 2015 how to activate your windows key tutorial video and i kinda love it for that but they can’t be serious about go being the title track for their long awaited 3rd mini album, right?
Analyst_Lost on
their vocals are really good, i love when jennie and lisa sing, since they have very nice singing voice.
did not like the last few “blackpicks!” kind of ruined a good song for me.

They did not have to go this hard. A banger MV.

MV is fucking gorgeous but the song is…. idk. like it’s good but it doesn’t feel like Blackpink? I liked the direction Jump went but this is a little far in that electronic direction? like I like the song! but it doesn’t match them at all
edit: listened to the song w/o the MV and it’s a much worse experience, uh oh 🙃

What an insane music video. It normally takes me awhile to warm up to BLACKPINK songs, but this was an instant like for me. Honestly probably my favorite BP song already.

the bridge omg 🤤 one of my favorite bridges ever

Nothing against the girls but I am missing everything I loved most about BP. I miss their choruses, dance breaks etc and these feel a bit “cold” to me. No shade to anybody who enjoys the songs though because the girls deserve the love!

This is a spectacular comeback title. It’s kind of a new direction for them, and the MV is visually so cool. The theme, the vibe, the colour concept, quite different than their usual. Amazing Blackpink. I’m excited to listen to the whole album.

The bridge is the only part of the song that left an impression on me, as a blackpink fan since 2017, it’s interesting to see how far they’ve come sonically but pretty nostalgic knowing that they’re never going back to how they used to sound like

Really love the music video and the sci-fi feel to the visual. The girls look amazing as always 🙂

Wow,a completely new sound for blackpink. I have to say that this song and mv really impressed me. One of their best mvs yet,way better than shutdown. I wish the chorus wasn’t empty but the production of the track as a whole is so impressive that makes up for it. Overall,I’d say it’s one of their best tts

Still not a fan of the Rima Yoon “overstimulate them to the point they won’t notice there’s AI snuck in” school of art direction

I should’ve predicted that it’s directed by Rima Yoon!
I liked her work for Aespa and Allday Project.
Another surprise was Chris Martin being involved in this song.

MV is visually stunning, and it’s something new and fresh for BP. The rest of the EP, however, is disappointing. This was very obviously rushed and half-assed, and I say this as a diehard blink/sooya/ruby/number one/lillie🫠
A lot of things could’ve made this better, namely a summer release (who remembers when this was supposed to be out in July?), and a more cohesive sound for the EP overall. Go had potential, but the mixing sounds a bit messy at first listen.

Overwhelmed by the MV to get a clear picture about how I feel about the song, but definitely a strong release.
Very different from the rest of BP’s discography, I really really loved the vocal approach in it. They really made a point to showcase a different singing style, which we saw in their solos but it’s very giving “New era BP” thanks to that.

There’s so much empty space in the song that I just can’t even see how this can be performed live

Dare I call it Aespa-pilled?
This will probably grow on me over time. I can’t say I feel wowed by it at the moment, but the synth textures are cool. It feels like it ends abruptly though.

I like parts of this but the chorus being almost non-existent I’m quite disappointed in. Plus that incredibly common chord progression in the bridge. They all look great though!

the song isn’t bad…. it’s also just not very good

This is cool, but like, the double standards of Kpop fans… There is AI in this, it is even mentioned in the credits, yet I see small artists with 0 budget get torn apart for using AI, yet BlackPink, the most known GG in the world uses it, many just gloss over it?
And this is coming from someone who defends some AI usage in some cases, like I said, for a small artist with no team.
I don’t know how they could dance to this chorus though haha. And that bridge was just AMAZING. Jisoo’s parts sounded great too.

Defenitely a new era sound! So refreshing. They could have recycled a past hit yet they didnt. I can see how this is not for everyone though. I’m gonna love blasting this at gym and drives!
