I didn’t expect it to do as well as JUMP because that was a single and got all the attention but I thought it will do at least 6 million. Welp.
Bad playlisting, lack of promo, leaked songs, not doing a midnight release. It is what it is. Maybe with a full day of tracking it will increase.

These are not the usual BP numbers. Lack of promotion (many were unaware of album releasing) and deviating from original sound to try something new are the reason. P.S. I personally think Champion should’ve been the title track (minus those credits though)

Everyone takes chart numbers too seriously. Blackpink isn’t relying on charting and playlisting to be successful. At this point enjoy the music or not but don’t force it just because you want to hit some arbitrary number.
These numbers kinda sum up the entire deadline era. Oh well, doesn’t matter, time to move on and look forward to what they’re cooking up with the solo stuff. Excited for Boyfriend on Demand next week!

It’s #75 in Ireland on Deezer, where I don’t think I’ve ever seen Blackpink on the charts.
Come to think of it, given the population of Ireland, and the very small number that uses Deezer….. that might be all me listening to it on repeat while driving home from work yesterday 😄
None of the other songs are on there….. I’m going to experiment. Come back tomorrow to see if I can single handedly get FBoy up the charts.
