That must be a difficult decision for her, all the best in whatever she does next. Kep1er are in a weird place where because them continuing at all past 2.5 years was a huge surprise I feel like it stings less when a member leaves now (not zero, but less) because we already got more than we expected from this specific group. I imagine it will be similar should ZB1 have further departures years down the line, or it probably will be for me anyway.

That’s really sad. I haven’t followed Kep1er in a while but was just thinking about Youngeun today and how I almost never hear of her or see her. She’s such a hugely talented dancer and a great singer as well. I remember so many hilarious moments in their content with her. She always stood out to me for her really unique visual, voice, personality, even dance style. It’s a shame she didn’t gain more recognition but I know she’s from a very small label and already had to fight hard just to debut in a rough competition show with pretty contentious solo fans.
Weird that aside from Dayeon all my favorite members left Kep1er. I’m really glad they had the chance to keep going but almost wonder if it hasn’t just made their lives harder as a result. It reminds me that chasing the dream isn’t a glamorous or necessarily fun thing for many idols.
