I’m still so shocked. This message does very little to clarify and calm to be honest.
What is going on/what could have caused this?!?! The timing and the message that it was the company’s suggestion just do NOT add up to me…

i feel like there’s a lot left vague in all messages released, but it does make sense for him to choose leaving the group if belift told him his solo work wouldn’t have full rollouts. by that i mean, enhypen tours a lot, right? if heeseung wants the full soloist life, with working independently and finding collaborations/producers, touring on his own, etc. i would see how that clashes with group work.

I’m still not ok from this new, however even this news has made it clear to me how much I love each member. I will supposed ENHYPEN and Heeseung.. i can’t believe I have to separate the two at this point, it fucking hurts so much. But I have faith in every single one of them. ENHYPEN will continue to inspire awe and joy in me and I can’t wait to see what Heeseung does with his talents and new freedom. I’m still gutted and really struggling to accept this but I am going to have to. It’s just so shocking, like a punch to the diaphragm.

Would this be the equivalent of like Nayeon leaving TWICE?

The abruptness of it all is still so weird to me.
Like why couldn’t the announcement have been that Heeseung will participate in X, Y and Z already announced group activities and then afterwards the completion of those, he will be parting from the group to pursue a solo career?
Desire-Untold on
No Engene saw this coming. Heeseung was talking about their upcoming Europe tour just 2 days ago. He was just talking about his plans in Australia with the members just this week. He was telling fans on a news channel early this year that they have so much more prepared for their upcoming concert. He literally has an ot7 event today.
But it’s over, just like that? He didn’t even know his last performance with Enhypen would be his last. The timing is weird and too abrupt.

Something major went down, all of a sudden. The abrupt nature of Heeseung’s departure—a few days before ENHYPEN’s first concert in Australia, without any notice, prep, or goodbye—makes that obvious. He probably wanted and would have gotten a solo career in the future anyway, but starting it right now in whiplash fashion clearly indicates some unexpected event. Engenes may never know what it was.

Not engenes on X saying that this was written by a staff member and not the members…..
My theory is he was given an ultimatum and decided to go solo, but finish out the remaining schedules (which include the tour), then maybe leave towards the end of the year.
Belift might have just wanted to rip the band aid off early and decided to start OT6 now, which is why everything looks so sudden
I know people are saying Belift is lying and Heeseung is not saying the full truth, but when you look at the comeback being moved from March to January, and the members not being that active on weverse this year as much as they used to be, and the canceled fansigns, its clear that something was going on behind the scenes
I know engenes are saying that he was kicked out and this wasn’t his decision, but I think the message, is making it clear this was mutual.
edit: instead of mutual, I’m saying it doesn’t look like he was kicked out

It’s still really weird to me like all of a sudden, the only reason that makes sense to me is heeseung did something that can affect the whole group’s reputation, since belift can’t let him go, the best option is to go solo.

Surely there must have been some sort of serious dispute or disagreement that led to this? I don’t follow Enhypen closely, but usually successful idols don’t just abruptly leave the group to focus on solo work, less than two years before the end of their exclusive contract, for no reason. It’s a good thing they’ve been able to keep things professional in public at least.

idk try to put yourself in his shoes for a moment.
we can speculate all we want but at the end of the day it’s very possible he just didn’t want to be in a group any longer and has a gnawing itch to release his own music and express himself on his own terms. i completely get that if that’s the case. not that my opinion matters all that much but i fully support heeseung if he did this for selfish reasons (selfish being he had to take the initiative for himself not that he hates his members and wanted to get away).
i’ve been dealing with workers burnout to an extreme level lately, and im dying to get out of my workplace, be free and choose the way i want to live without restrictions placed on me. i wonder if he decided he was happy with the group for a number of years but feels he needs to move on and be himself and showcasing his individual artistry while he’s still so young and can create an impact.

I am guessing the label kept him to prevent a full departure. I don’t think it’s fair to assume the members didn’t get along, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are exhausted and unhappy. They release constantly and have been on tour how many times now?
I believe it was nct mark that tried to reassure fans about his busy schedule by explaining that an idol’s peak is short in comparison to other careers, but that doesn’t mean that lifestyle is sustainable or acceptable for all.
Their company has had to endure the illit hate train & I don’t think they wanted to lose him on top of that, so maybe this was their compromise cause I know I was just as confused as everyone else about him leaving the group, but being able to stay w the label….
