We would like to provide an update regarding the ankle condition of DAHYUN (TWICE) and her participation in the world tour schedule.
During the world tour, DAHYUN experienced pain in her ankle and visited the hospital, where she was diagnosed with a stress fracture by medical professionals. Since then, in order to meet fans again as soon as possible, she has been focusing on her recovery while receiving various treatments, including wearing a brace and a half cast. Our company has also been closely monitoring the artist’s condition and preparing for her return.
DAHYUN herself wished to take the stage and meet ONCE until the very last moment. However, after careful discussions based on medical advice, it was ultimately decided that she should prioritize treatment and rest for the time being in order to achieve a full recovery. This is because performing intense choreography and stage movements before she has fully recovered may risk worsening the injury.
We sincerely apologize to fans who have been looking forward to DAHYUN’s performance for delivering this sudden news. As this decision was made with the artist’s health as our top priority, we kindly ask for your understanding.
After taking sufficient time, DAHYUN plans to rejoin the world tour once she has fully recovered and regained her health. We will continue to provide our fullest support to ensure her speedy recovery. We sincerely thank fans for the constant love and support you show to TWICE.

I know people will be disappointed but it’s the right decision and I’m glad that JYP and Dahyun are prioritising her health and not rushing her return. Of course we miss Dubu so much, but nothing is more important than her wellbeing 🤍🤍🤍

It is interesting that they mention it specifically for these shows and not another chunk of time like last time. It’s probably premature to read too much into that, but it might be a positive sign.

Not sure why they feel the need to make these announcements in increments. Once they FINALLY figured out that it was a fracture it became obvious she wasn’t coming back any time soon. She could realistically miss the rest of the tour.

I would count her out for the rest of the NA leg, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she also skips EU.
Just can’t imagine someone having an ankle fracture risking to permanently damage something down there, unless she is performing seated again. First it needs to heal, but then you have to train it up again for just walking normally. Let alone dancing for two full hours during a concert.

I know that everyone is going to be quite bummed out to hear this BUT of course it’s just the right decision regardless as JYP Entertainment has ultimately decided to have Dahyun continue to focus on her recovery for the time being due to a stress fracture on her ankle. And with that in mind, for TWICE’s next concert in Taipei, of course they’re just gonna have to perform on stage as a 8-member group without Dahyun.
Health first, performing second for Dahyun for now, guys.

As much as i wish she could be back soon (my first time seeing Twice is in a few weeks and Dubu is my bias), she needs to rest and heal. I’m glad they’re finally taking her injury seriously but i wish it could have been treated sooner to relieve her pain. What a sad time for the fans who want to see her AND for Dahyun, missing her concerts due to an injury ):
