This whole saga might be up there as one of the most embarrassing moments I’ve ever witnessed from a fanbase. Who needs haters when you have fans who can’t respect your decision to have a solo career?

I am worried he might take hiatus instead of doing what he wanted to do because of this and clear opposition from his fandom over his decision.

This is so embarrassing and so parasocial of these “fans.” I would say they need to get a life but they clearly don’t see that .

These fans seriously need to get off the internet and go outside. Touch grass, get a hobby, something. This is completely out of control.

As much as i like kpop the whole boyfriend parasocial thing with boygroups always scares me for this exact situation…..wish these companies werent so damn greedy that they create these intense fan attachments because when stuff goes wrong and the illusion/fantasy breaks people dont know how to act or process it. ..

This has just been very embarassing for the fandom like damn you live like this. This is why kpop fans will never escape having bad rep

Seeing how unhinged people are really over something like this, shows how sad idol lives are to a certain extent – you basically have zero autonomy.

If they’re shaking up government institutions just to vent their own emotions, I’m not sure how that’s much different from Trump supporters.

This is jobless behavior.
On a more serious note I hate how harassing institutions and private individuals with connection (no matter how loose) is becoming more common and normalized in Kpop spaces. The national pension has absolutely nothing to do with Heeseung. While invested in Hybe belift is just one subsidiary under Hybe and when making investments the pension fund will be looking at longterm expected growth not short term stock flucations or negative press. Additionally behavior like this also gives the entire fandom a bad name and can cause repetuational damage to the group.

What is going on with the fandom for this group this is insane behavior

You guys stop embarrassing Enhypen specifically Heesung. Imagine what he feels for what you guys were doing. I feel bad for him.

This might be a reach, but I think this behaviour shows why ENHYPEN’s success will always be limited.
Unlike other groups (mainly girl groups) Enhypen falls into the category that has a fandom which is basically in a bubble – almost disconnected from the rest of K-Pop.
It also means that why ENHYPEN have comebacks, their songs are less likely to have any virality or success behind the fandom bubble.
Ironically, this fandom bubble is why ENHYPEN’s songs since 2025 have gone into a very specific fan-focused direction (i.e Niki’s odd whispering part in Bad Desire) rather than trying to appeal to the mainstream.
Just my view of course, feel free to disagree.

Wtf is the national pension going to do about this? Like this is embarrassing behaviour, where is the decorum??

Oh, yikes.
As someone who works in an FP&A-adjacent role, I do like some of the transparency that comes with an entertainment company that is publicly-traded. But, it also gives a lot of fans who lack the proper foundation to misuse the information😭 Before dipping into kpop, I’ve just never seen so many music fans/fans of celebrities (of different groups) pore over company financials and stock fluctuations only to wildly misunderstand and misrepresent the information🙈

you ever see something that reminds you there’s a non negligible amount of fellow fans that do in fact see korea as kpop land first, nation with history and culture second?

Wtf that is so embarrassing and the fact it made news means it’s true since they reported it. This just further solidifies any little chance of growth whatsoever for Enhypen in SK since this is what the gp will see about them instead of music, man I feel so sorry for Enhypen and Heeseung for having fans like this, I’d be so ashamed.

Time to add this to the list of reasons why I can’t tell people I like kpop I guess. People really need to get a grip and realize Korea isn’t just kpop land.

They annoyed me so much, by coming into our fan community daily, that I went into their own & started reporting their accounts, for breaking weverse rules by spamming. Warning, don’t mess with other fandom spaces. As for harassing an actual business, that’s even worse. Stop trying to control people.

Still seeing some engenes saying under the mbc post that this was the point and they WANTED to reach k-media shows me there’s really no helping this. No concern of the implications of pensioners not having their needs and concerns seen due to the flood of emails and calls. Someone even commented “womp womp” and proceeded to post their hashtags.

Do engenes realise that the only thing their behaviour regarding this has accomplished, is ruining enhypen’s reputation and potential of growth in south korea? This is what the group will be known for there
