After hearing the songs live, I really need to talk about something I’ve noticed over the past year. It feels like BigHit has been over-processing Bangtan’s voices in the studio versions of their songs. They still sound like themselves, but sometimes the vocals come across as a bit artificial because of the heavy use of autotune and effects.

Now, I’m not a music expert I don’t really know much about autotuning or all the technical sound changes but even then, the difference is noticeable.

What makes it more obvious is how incredible they sound live. Their live vocals feel much more natural, raw, and honestly even more beautiful than the studio versions. The difference is strong enough that I find myself preferring to stream their live performances over the official tracks on Spotify or YouTube. Unlike many other artists whose songs often sound better in the studio than live, BTS feels like the complete opposite.

I'm loving the album more after listening to their live version

So Yoongi really made it happen when he said he’s gonna be a vocalist 🤣.

Anyway, this just proves how their concerts will be great.

  2. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t like Killin’ It Girl to begin with. It felt overproduced.

I also prefer to seek out the live versions. I especially love IDOL live.

This is the best version of this song by far!

I love the new album but the only complaint i have is the amount of voice modulation on the tracks. You have the best vocals in the game, but it’s hidden under stylized alteration. Live? Clean and crisp. Perfect.

Das stimmt für mich genauso. Live klingen sie einfach NOCH besser. Ich hatte mich schon über „Permission to Dance on Stage“ gefreut und es war ein bisschen zum Lieblingsalbum mutiert. Die eine Stunde heute war gigantisch…💪⭕️⛔️⛔️(🤭😂)

I watched the concert today without yet having listened to the album (except for Swim). I really liked this one — unfortunate to hear it doesn’t sound like this on the album. At least I’ll be at their concert to hear them perform it live!

I actually like both the versions?? Like studio version is very moody for me which i love so much and this is also moody but a bit different? Idk how to explain lol

Some of the album songs that I wasn’t very fond of sounded so much better live, that it changed my mind about them.

  9. This is the exact same thing I mentioned as my only feedback related to the album. I genuinely loved the music and songs top to bottom.

My only minor point was that there were some places that synthesizer and autotune was a bit overused to merge their voices.

And, there were certain places where I would have loved the oomph factor of their strong vocals such as Jin’s strong chest voice or even Jimin’s unique vocals. It would have given the right punch in the songs.

And, their live vocals created such a balanced harmony that I felt new level of appreciation for the album. I want to feel the difference in their voices and feel its impact hitting my heart and mind!

After the live, I listened to album again and my brain started automatically clearing out over synthesized parts with live vocals ❤️

  10. I missed it cuz I was so sleepy. I regret it. Also I slept before 20 minutes of the live stream 😔
