You and the members did a wonderful job navigating the hiatus and the hate of 2024. It was such a hard period. But you all handled it with as much grace as possible. Now you are on the other side. RM’s parents sure raised a lovely human being, didn’t they? And then he and the members have also all raised themselves and each other well the rest of the way from boys to men.
The first words out of their mouths are always words of gratitude, love and appreciation in these situations, and that says so much. 💜 I’m always honestly more impressed by this than by the charts results.

While listening to 2.0 today, a thought came to my mind of how BTS, in the whole album, feel so pumped up and ready for more. I mean, the entire first half is basically announcing their return, *”came back for what’s MINE”*, and the last song “Into the sun”, as one ARMY reactor put it, feels like a song celebrating our reunion and saying, “okay now that we’re reunited, let’s all go ahead together on this journey now, into the sun”. It’s so hopeful and sweet.
I wonder if this may be why a certain subset of haters and antis have been extra loud in trying to bash the album. I remember before their discharge, there was always a lot of gleeful doomposting about how they’d probably not even get back together. Even with the album announcement, a lot of people seemed to have deluded themselves into thinking it could be a goodbye album, a last group one before another hiatus. There was a lot of “concerned for ARMYs” type of posts going around, telling us these are things we should expect for a group of their age and post-military.
Then ARIRANG drops and it’s none of that! Songs like 2.0, SWIM, Into the sun, are all about their resolve to continue moving forward together. All their promotions and interviews show them being so excited to be together as seven, and to start this BTS 2.0 era. It’s so clear they’re planning to do this for a long, long time. That could certainly be frustrating for anyone who was hoping they’d go away again soon.
Anyways, this long winded comment to say, I’m genuinely so happy for our tannies and for ARMYs 💜 it’s not always the easiest being us, but we continue to make history together, and love each other, and that’s really all that matters.
