– No artists named, but the line-up will incude “several globally recognized K-pop acts — artists whose tickets typically sell out within minutes or hours”. “Specific names are expected to be announced within weeks”.
– the organizers work with “one of South Korea’s largest media conglomerates” (not mentioned by name)
– the festival will take place on 4 and 5 September, on the grounds of Katowice-Muchowiec Airfield
– a “smaller event” will take place in late August
– organizers count on an attendance of at least 200.000 people (both festivals combined), half of them from aborad
Yeah, that’s pretty much all that is known for now. Ya boy [will do it like Palpatine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67h8GyNgEmA) and observe Polish media for any new info with great interest.

No shade but 200k is a ridiculous claim, I don’t think they’d manage to pull that even with both BTS AND Blackpink in the lineup, which we know is not going to be the case 😭 Regardless I always appreciate Kpop event closer to my part of the world, I will stay tuned for the lineup.

Last time they organised a festival in Poland it didn’t go too well – they booked the National Stadium but most of it was empty, and it seems there were no translators present. So I’m skeptical, but we’ll see

That seems ambitious for a festival – considering so many festivals have gone bust I’m a bit pessimistic that this will happen… but that being said I might actually be in Poland around that time 😅

Europe’s track record with dodgy kpop festivals makes me very wary. I remember the German stadium kpop tour didn’t happen either xD and kpop lux and kpop flex have been very interesting…

I’ve been wondering why there hasn’t been a bigger K-pop concert in Poland yet, like even at the National Stadium. They’ve had huge Western artists there before (Beyonce, Ed Sheeran etc) and the organization was always solid. Plus, Poland is pretty easy to get to from other European countries and relatively cheaper.

Have a feeling BigBang could pop up in the lineup here

yeah, as a polish person i’ve been ???ing about it heavily. i have no idea how they’re planning to do it. a huge kpop festival at an airport (woodstock style??) is weird enough, but many articles also mentioned how it’s the korean side that considers poland a promising ground for investing. my question is: girl, where? where do you plan to host other events or concerts? we do have indoor arenas, but our biggest holds 15k people and isn’t in the capital, which makes transport more difficult for a touring group. the largest indoor arena in warsaw holds like 5k. that’s nothing. so what do they want to invest in? how is poland so attractive?
like, sure, i would love it if more kpop groups could come here! but. again. *where*.
(also, does anyone remember the articles about how we’re tooootally going to have bts perform? in the summer, wearing outfits by polish designers, with polish artists as support… since when is poland the capital of the world 😂😂😂)

All that is known right now (aka not a whole lot) comes from the Polish edition of *Business Insider*. All other websites just copied their information (including [one article in English](https://www.polskieradio.pl/395/7791/artykul/3676000,europes-largest-kpop-festival-headed-to-poland-in-september) from the public Polish Radio).
