The usual crowd were trying to downplay this song before it even released, but oh my goodness this is so good.

Even though the song is short, it doesn’t *feel* that way and is just action-packed from start to finish.

Amazing coreography and a really fantastic expansion of ILLIT’s discography.

Can’t wait to hear the other song in the mini-album.

I was scared when I heard the snippets but I actually like the full song. I feel the chorus could get stuck in my head too

  3. I love the prechorus and the escalation in the chorus. Not my fav Illit title track but definitely not the worst. It is probably my second favorite.

    – hybe make a 3 minute title track: challenge level impossible
    – also please listen to GRWM it is so dreamy

I don’t know why but I had a big smile on my face listening to it. It’s like 90% chants but Illit is good at those weird vocal inflections that are so memorable and turns what could be uncomfortable and jarring into something that goes down as smooth as butter and sticks in the brain like peanut butter. Also short songs this short song that, this ends when it should.

  6. loved how they put in the tiktok trend where people fake laugh with their shoulders and back turned to the person for the “I yelled you’re hilarious” line 😂

  7. What a bop!
    The chorus is so catchy
ILLIT always bring something new to the table but you can easily recognize and see that’s ILLIT!

  8. JUST WHAT I NEEDED. I actually love this and kinda annoyed at how we didn’t get another structure for that BOP of a chorus even though it goes around 3 full separate times but so far this is perfect as it is on first listen and thoughts.

One nitpick is that the teasers did make it seem like it would be Moka’s era but she only had one line that was distinct enough in the first pre-chorus honestly and that was it, I know she’s the only one in the group to not rap but give her another pre-chorus part like how they did with Yunah. The chorus is by FAR my favourite part and I love it and need an extended version of this ASAP.

The full song is really good. And another crazy choreography to ILLIT list! It’s really a catchy song

  10. Much better than the teasers suggested. Concept as a whole along with the lyrics are great in relation idol to fan connection/interaction. Choreo looks legit and unique as always. I guess with this group a bias doesn’t exist, your bias is just the whole group lol(It’s ILLIT).

This is fantastic, the verses are super fun and the chanting parts are just ridiculously catchy. It’s youthful and fun and playful. I feel like a bridge before the last chorus would have made it even better, but there’s still so much to love.

  12. I feel so relieved over the fact that this time Hybe didn’t fumble the techno-pop sound, and that the fact that this song is short doesn’t actually bother me cause it works well for the song and also the fact that there is no pointless imersion-breaking interruption in the middle of the song

I love The Deep so much (she was my number 1 artist last year) – I love that she got to be one of the composers of this song 🥹🥹

and Illit is one of my fave groups too

Also if ppl like paw, paw! by Illit – I would highly recommend checking out the discographies of The Deep and Effie.

All the bsides on this EP are so good 😭😭

Mamihlapinatapai (the song) reminds me a bit of Emotion era Carly Rae Jepsen

  14. I love it, it’s a high energy manic hyperpop/electro joint that really gets in your skull. It’s a refreshing face slapper of a song that clearly differentiates itself from their previous work, and the pre-chorus is particularly good.

I think the verses are great, and even that crazy pre-chorus works well (despite the preview), but I’m really not enjoying the recent wave of largely instrumental drops with sparse or repetitive hooks.

I don’t think it ruins the song or anything, it’s fine, but I think the trick is wearing thin with 3 of these kinda titles in such a short amount of time. Oddly enough it might be my favorite of the 3.

The song being as short as it is kinda works in its favor in that it doesn’t overstay its welcome, but I think a bridge or dance break wouldn’t have hurt.

  16. This is surprisingly better than I expected. It’s a short song, but it doesn’t end as abruptly as “Celebration.”

  17. Yeah I like this a lot. When it comes to Hybe’s recent dance music releases this is definitely the best of the bunch by far imo.

(only “complaint” is i’m not sure I wanna hear about biases and faves and fan accounts in the actual music but whatever I can turn my brain off for a bit I guess lol.)

  18. The snippets kind of scared me ngl but it’s fun and catchy. Kind of gives me Orange Caramel vibes!

I fear the prechorus is permanently etched into my brain lol. It’s very unapologeticly campy in a way that reminds me of Orange Caramel (and some other divas ofc) but it still sounds very them somehow. Also glad that my initial fears that the song would sound incomplete or empty were proven wrong.
