This feels like Billlie’s version of So What. It’s fun and zesty. A spicy eardrum zapper.

  3. so happy to see girls back with this banger! immediately added to my gym and self-esteem playlist

i love billlie but this is a big meh at least on first listen. the chorus hits hard, keeps you hooked and sticks in your head but i can’t really remember anything about the rest of the track. for now i’m just glad work is also on the album because even if it’s not very billlie coded it’s clubby and gay in exactly the way i like. the girls look gorgeous and i’m so happy to see them back! gonna go listen to the rest of the release now!!

I prefer work to have been the tt to zap it okay not really my cuppa tbh

The song is good although comparison with their TT previous remains in debt

Song kinda sucks but 2:05 choreo redeems it. This video is so freaking good.

  8. They didn’t come to play! It has an SM feel for some reason. I prefer WORK which im glad they will also promote both as double title tracks. I hope they do well on the charts.

  9. I like it but after just having heard the remix I think that version is better imo.

this is so fun, love the instrumental in the chorus, but i do feel like it should have been longer (longer moon sua & siyoon raps PLS, they were amazing in “work”)! album is great though, SOUPASTA a a a a

It’s okay, there’s nothing wrong with it but there’s nothing particularly noteworthy either. One major improvement would’ve been making the first two choruses sound fuller as the final chorus sounds 100x better with the added layers.

This song also feels especially underwhelming releasing after Work which is the better song by far, hopefully they pivot to promote that instead.

  12. Hmmm I really wanted to love this but it’s just not catchy or melodic enough for me. The MV is really good though.

If Billlie didn’t have a history of releasing title tracks that are 100x better than this I wouldn’t dislike Zap as much.

It’s not particularly interesting or memorable for a title track and quality wise it just gets destroyed by 90% of the title tracks and b-sides in not just their discography but this album as well.

  14. Hmm I don’t like it tbh, nothing really stuck out to me with this one. Work should have been the title track, on that thought Imma rewatch Work again haha

I like the song, but as a Belllie’ve, I can’t help but be worried about the future of BILLLIE. The entire album rollout has been a mess. It’s a ‘full album,’ but almost half the tracks are remixes, the AI and the plagiarism debacles, and the fact that this comeback (in my opinion) feels so disconnected from the rest of BILLLIE’s work. It doesn’t have that BILLLIE charm or spin that they have despite having varying concepts.

My concern peaked when I saw this MV. Almost, if not all, the previous BILLLIE mvs had stories to them. They had direction. This MV feels like a glorified performance video with a beauty shot every so often. It genuinely feels like MYSTIC STORY has given up on them. It’s genuinely making me afraid.

I’m sorry for the long rant. I love these girls and the group so much, but everything surrounding this comeback genuinely has me worried for BILLLIE, and it feels like I’m the only one who’s really irked about everything. Are my worries unfounded?

  16. pretty disappointed in this release ngl, the song isn’t my cup of tea at all and i was hoping the mv would feature more billlie-related lore given the teasers, but this just seems like an average performance-focused mv…

however, the album is EXCELLENT! i’m currently on my second listen and every track is a pure gem. the ZAP remix is also spectacular. i wish they had gone for a stronger/more memorable title track but i’m happy with the album nonetheless.

Now, as somebody who is mixed on Billlie titles (I do not like Ring Ma Bell for example) I love this song. HOWEVER the MV noticeably is lower budget then their usual music videos and lacks the story they usually tell. If Mystic Story has money problems this makes sense and I do wonder if maybe this comeback was more rushed then we initially believed. I got the gist of it, that BILLLIE was not actually a real person per say and that the idea of her as a girl was a lie.

  18. May not be my favourite Billlie title track but it is growing on me. I do wish there was more vocal moments.

  19. Quincentuple on

I mostly like it, but it’s kind of straddling a weird line between sounding reminiscent of earlier Billlie TTs without being as unique while also trying to be a harder hitting song, which Work is already on the album and is the better of the two for that.

  20. I know Billlie has always tried new things but man this reminds me of my “huh? what?” reaction when Weeekly released Ven Para

  21. Terrible_Disk1673 on

I like billlie but this song is a bit disappointing compared to the other works. Not only that the AI situation to me was a huge turn off. I am definitely gonna revisit this album again just to see if my opinion changes but right now Im not a fan.

Someone mentioned it here but theres really no storyline compared to other billlie music videos and i agree with that 100%

  22. whyumaaadtho on

I really like the song, the girls are gorgeous and ate it up. I agree with others that the MV is pretty basic and missing lore. Looking forward to listening to the fukl album next!

  23. SigmaKnight on

    I like it.

It definitely has a first-song-on-concert-setlist vibe to me. It’s not meant to be a showstopper, just to get people in the mood.l for entertainment.

Doesn’t assuage my fears about their future, though.
