Sorry but they’re massive creeps for debuting a child (who isn’t even skilled enough to keep up with the other members), when they had so many other great options – especially given the mature direction of the group they’ve indicated so far. Everyone knew Sakura was going to make it despite her obvious shortcomings and now the group will suffer for it.

After following the creation of Katseye and reading the comments here, I do kinda wonder if it’s strategic to have the youngest member be East Asian. The youngest typically has less revealing outfits and is treated more endearing than sexy. Idk, just a thought.

2. I’m so frustrated at how HYBE’s talent development team has chosen. Like, the vision at the Billboard awards was very sultry, and I just don’t want to see a sixteen year old in that context ever. It’s uncomfortable at best.
3. Saint Satine is uh…. A name of all time. It’s hewing a little close to All Saints for the girl group historian in me. Also it abbreviates to SS? Are we kidding???
I had a lot of hope for the HYBE x Geffen partnership, but between how Katseye has been mishandled and this, I’m just kind of disinterested.

Not to be overly negative but the name is so bad. Like seriously even bad Kpop/Kpop adjacent standards the name is bad and wierd.
Also Sakura sticks out so much in the photos someone said she looks like a fan posing with the other members and I can’t unsee it. HxG has had months to take better photos and make her look more interegrated but these are the photos they chose. Seriously once Sakura was chosen months ago everything from the show to these photos should have been dedicated to making her seem like the right choice but HxG fumbled it so bad even in the teaser photos she sticks out.
