    >Having the ability to be kind means your own life is stable and comfortable. It is a ‘luxury’ because it proves you have more than enough resources (time, money, and mental peace) for yourself, leaving you with extra to spend on others. Because privileged people have no survival struggles, there is absolutely no valid reason for them to be rude, mean, or selfish. If a rich person is mean, it is entirely their fault, because they have zero excuses to treat people badly.

    >“(The rich family) are clearly very classist, very elitist, idk, maybe they donate to a lot of charities, maybe? I doubt it, but maybe? the line about the smell, ‘He smells like a poor person’ or something like that. God, that boiled my blood so bad. That line really stuck with me after the first time that I watched the movie. It’s just annoying. I don’t believe that it comes from like a complete place of malice; they’re really just blinded by their own privilege.”

Love her. Even when Lily is now rich and famous, she still very based.

This also kinda reminded me of that one particular scene from My Mister, when Lee Ji An (IU) was talking to her grandmother who was praising the ‘ahjussi’ for being a good person. Ji An just sadly said, its easy to be kind when you’re rich.

Which also later made her respect him more when she found out that the ahjussi was actually suffering himself and still want to help her…

  3. If you’re rich and you’re mean? There’s no excuse.

    Sadly, most rich people are

but Lily has such an amazing perspective.
