    He says it’s been a while now since the album was released, they’ve done a couple of shows for the tour and it’s more settled now, they’ve seen reception etc, so he thinks it might be a good time to speak about the album in depth like he used to do for previous albums

    In the past, he and Yoongi used to be the ones who spoke a lot about the music since they had more experience, but now all seven, after their solos, have such distinct preferences and tastes, and are freely expressing their opinions…so all of that had to be taken into consideration, as well as what would be good to tour with

    He said SWIM wasn’t immediately considered to be the title track after it was made. Choosing the direction of the title track was sooo hard because at this point of their career, everyone has a different idea of what a BTS title track should sound like, including fans. Like Dynamite vs ON vs Spring Day, for example

    Speaking so passionately about the making of “body to body”, then he sidetracked about why they don’t go to AMAs after party because it’s scary etc 😭

    Most of his input about Body to body is what we already know, I think. Just a little more in-depth.

    Edit: he spoke a bit about how it’s been perceived to be sexual, but since I didn’t understand all of it, i wont guess all he said about that part.

    He doesn’t have too much input about Hooligan, he says Hobi or JK should speak more about it. He did say it’s interesting how they had a choreo prepared for the “challenge”, but the one that went viral was the fan-made one

    FYA is a song that he says he really wanted people just to lose their minds to, like brainrot, for the moshpit, especially after the first three songs that they had carefully assigned meaning to

    Joon is sharing a LOT yes, but I think it’s amazing that we know a lot of this already since they’ve shared so much in their interviews and studio notes

    My whole heart for this live though. I truly despise how much pressure is put on them all (and individually) from the society/fame perspective.

    It has to be way too much for any human being to handle the impromptu anxiety of and they willingly put themselves through it because of Army. And vice versus for us. So I know it’s all built out of love. But gosh, I just want all of them to be happy in this life. And those words simply aren’t enough.

    I know I’m definitely gonna go back for a rewatch when full/better subtitles are up but I’m so glad we’re finally getting an album song-by-song from Joon! I can’t tell, though, if he’s emotional or upset or just tired cuz you know they just came off a concert? He seemed apologetic at the start but with the late Weverse notifications (😭) i missed his greeting where he would have given his current state of mind. Did someone catch it?

    About 2.0, he elaborated a bit on why Jimin had such a problem with it at first, especially since it’s very repetitive for the vocal part. That even till the last minute, they almost left it out of the setlist altogether, but he was really insistent and now everyone loves it

    He’s especially happy because it’s one of the few performance tracks they have on the album

    Talking about all the criticisms on them picking SWIM as the title, “why not an exciting song like Dynamite? Or more hiphop like Hooligan?’, but he says there simply wasn’t a better option than SWIM for this album.

    He really agonized over the lyrics, bringing up his days in the military again and his mindset then. He says he LOVES the song.
