I just stumbled upon this post, and learned some pretty interesting information about One Love. Apparently the song is lostwave from ~2013.

A demo of the song was first posted online on October 6, 2013. No one knows for sure, but it seems likely that the demo was originally leaked to a site like ShareBeast after the record label or publisher was hacked. Some people, like the nerds over in /r/Lostwave, have been trying to figure out who the original singer is ever since. When it first leaked, some speculated that the original artist was Cover Drive, but they were very quick to deny it. Since then, people have speculated that the singer is Kristina Maria, girl group The Party, or the hip hop band My Crazy Girlfriend, but it was just pure speculation with no real leads. At one point the song was attributed to an artist named Mae'lynn, but it sounds like they were just a copyright troll who tried to claim the song to get royalties.

All of that changed with Tzuyu's teaser this morning. It's funny reading through /r/Lostwave's discord server. They seem a bit shocked that the song resurfaced after more than a decade and is being sung by a K-pop idol. But now that they know who wrote and produced the song, they found the copyright listing for the original demo and, while they still don't know for sure who sang it, it seems likely that Camille Purcell (Kamille) is the singer in the demo.

Here is the demo of the song. After listening to it, I am really curious how Tzuyu's version will deviate from the demo. They of course changed "get your shit together" to "we should stick together" to make it more wholesome for Tzuyu 💙 and added some Korean lyrics, but I wonder if anything else will change significantly?

I'm sure there are plenty of songs that get released today that have just been collecting dust for years, but it's kind of fascinating to me knowing some of the history of the song and seeing that some people have been speculating about it and trying to find info on it for years.
