1.) This is the song that I think made TWICE as one of the summer bop queens when they released this and I couldn't blame them for that. Dance The Night Away is such a perfect song you want to listen as you go on to enjoy the much-anticipated vacation or like a break from all of the challenges in your life that you have endured.

2.) The energetic impact of the EDM instrumentals along with its fun lyrics is such a right combo to create an upbeat and catchy summer song K-Pop fans will definitely love to listen with.

3.) There's something about Nayeon's delivery "you and me in the moonlight aaaahhh" that makes me consider this as one of her best intros ever in a TWICE song.

4.) The pre-chorus hype build-up with the use of hands clapping sound in the background was pulled off perfectly, which has gotten us into the chorus that lowkey goes hard because of the hard horns and thumps hitting along with it.

5.) The place where they took the MV which is a beach somewhere in Okinawa, Japan was a nice pick for them to present a serene and relaxing setting that fits the concept.

6.) I looked up at the line distribution and it surprised me that this is one of the rare times that Nayeon isn't the member with the longest lines to sing, instead the song was led by Jihyo (the main vocalist) and followed by Mina which is what I didn't expect much for a Japanese member to lead a Korean song. I'm not saying that it is great that Nayeon isn't the first this time, but instead I'm just fascinated and glad to see the other members take up the lead this time.

7.) Jihyo and Nayeon's high notes for the bridge and chorus respectively was the best part of the song for me, imo. I think they did a great job of leveling up the energy of this song with their loud vocals.

8.) The music video was simple yet the quality is enough for a summer song to accompany. It's TWICE being castaways who got splashed ashore and became stranded in an island, and what made all of this even funnier is that instead of them being desperate to call for some help, they instead built a shelter and… went on to arrange a party for, idk maybe the fact that they still complete and survived (or is it? flashbacks of DTNA horror fan theories)

9.) The lyrics may have use pronouns of "you and me" like we usually hear from love songs etc etc but this song felt like it doesn't only applies for lover or couples but also for EVERYONE. Like, whoever you want to be paired with and join you along to spend the summer vacation, well this song can be dedicated to anyone who just wants to enjoy the said season like there's no tomorrow, as what the song said.

10.) They won 10 music show awards for this one which is A LOT and one of the evidences to prove that they indeed ruled the K-Pop world in 2018. They also entered and topped some charts, received a Platinum certificate from RIAJ, and contributed for TWICE to win Best Female Group and Best Female Dance Performance at MAMA that year (the choreo is fun btw and I think it compliments the song really well, pretty smart choosing of moves that shows some gestures referring to any elements that is related to summer.)

BONUS ADDITIONS:
– Their outfits and looks for this era (Most fav would be Nayeon in her colored lens era wearing that red and black dress at the start and end of the MV and even that red and white striped swimsuit with denim shorts (God, she looks so fine in this era.), Chaeyoung's long wavy orange hair, and ofcourse: JIHYO'S TANNED SKIN RAAAAAAHHH)
– That iconic "badaya uriwa gachi nora, ah
Barama neodo ijjogeuro wa, whoa" line of Momo at the pre-chrous. Lol her voice sounds so cute in here.
– Their performance of this song at their "Greatest TWICE Show" in MAMA and KCON 2018 plus this being the first song that they danced in their new dance practice room when JYPE relocated into their second building.
