**How is your current mental state?**
It’s been hectic as the non-stop work from the past year is finally being revealed! It feels like everything is in disarray and not properly organized, but I do feel a sense of accomplishment as we unveil things one by one.
**After releasing ‘ME,’ which featured the track ‘Flower,’ it took two years to release my second solo album ‘AMORTAGE.’**
The album title, a combination of amor (love) and montage, encapsulates growth through love and heartbreak. I wanted it to be like a well-drawn film, capturing the alluring journey of love and separation, much like moments in movies. I hoped that when people faced this work, they would remember it similarly. I’m grateful that many have understood its meaning and embraced it.
**What was the starting point for the grunge chic and rock chic fashion showcased in the ‘earthquake’ music video? What part did you enjoy the most?**
I really liked the grunge chic concept in the office scene! I wanted to visually express how strong emotions can suddenly strike, and I think it was best portrayed there. Wearing glasses during the shoot was also fun!
**Which part of making the album did you enjoy the most?**
Trying out new genres! Whether it’s music, fashion, or music videos, there’s excitement in tackling something I’ve never shown before, like completing quests one by one.
**As this is the first album released under your newly founded label Blissoo, did you have to make all decisions yourself? What challenges have you faced managing the company?**
Sometimes it feels like a huge burden knowing that everyone is watching me and relying on me to get things done. Now, beyond just doing tasks, I focus on creating an enjoyable environment for everyone, so I work even harder.
**’Newtopia’ was a project that highlighted Jisoo’s ‘happy girl’ image. What legacy did it leave behind?**
I learned a lot working with great people across various aspects. Personally, I gained much insight watching Yeong-Joo break through difficulties without hesitation.
**You’re continuing to film ‘Monthly Boyfriend,’ airing in 2026. The premise involves entering a virtual world to find a boyfriend. Why do you keep taking on projects back-to-back?**
I want to experience different things through characters who have personalities and values different from mine, and I want to showcase various sides of myself.
**If you reflect on moments where you immersed yourself into a character as an actor?**
Shooting the final scene in ‘Snowdrop’ was extremely sad and tough. Thinking about Young-ro having to stand up again after losing everything made me cry uncontrollably without realizing it.

**BLACKPINK has announced a large-scale world tour this year. While it must be exciting to reunite with members, it surely isn’t easy.**
What excites me most is having friends around to talk to. After working alone for long periods, I miss the memories of enjoying good food and traveling with the members. Above all, I’m thrilled to meet our global BLINKS who’ve waited so long. The toughest part will probably be condition management; I’ll need to stay fit through regular exercise during the tour!
**It’s already your ninth year since debut. What’s the greatest achievement looking back?**
The most meaningful achievement is BLACKPINK—it won’t change for life.
**If you could go back and fix something, what would you change?**
There’s nothing I regret. I just want to show even cooler things in the future.
**You mentioned accepting what’s happened and easily forgetting bad experiences. That sounds admirable. How do you overcome hardships when they arise?**
When it gets really tough, I write. It helps to release emotions and brings some relief.
**What are you afraid of?**
Not much. I don’t dwell on the past or fear the future—it’s just not my nature.
**When do you feel happiness?**
I often feel happy. Little things like eating delicious food or going for a walk on a beautiful day bring immense joy.
**I heard you occasionally splurge on gaming.**
If I want something or feel like doing something, I act impulsively. Even if I usually don’t shop and stay home, if I desire something, I immediately take action. I try to prioritize and care for myself.
**What do you value when making friends or working with others?**
Rather than focusing on certain traits in others, I strive not to show actions or behaviors that I personally dislike in myself. That would be contradictory.
**What quality do you admire the most?**
Acknowledging others.

This year, I definitely want to cultivate a meaningful hobby to spend my downtime.
