It’s normal that some songs take awhile to click.

But I wanna know if you guys have any examples of one moment immediately changing how you feel about a seventeen song.

When I first became a carat, and was listening to semicolon, I didn’t care that much about “All my love.” I thought it sounded nice and their voices were lovely as usual but it wasn’t a song that stood out to me. And then this performance came up in my recommendations… guys, something actually changed in my brain after one watch. I remember that I cried, like I think seventeen might have rebirthed me. 😃

It’s now my favourite song of seventeen’s and honestly one of my fav songs in general. Like I show this performance to everyone I know and I’m like… don’t you feel the magic????? 🙄😞🙏

I think it was also really impactful because it was when I just put the faces to the names and I knew who held what positions, but I didn’t know their voices yet. So seeing who was singing was so cool, especially the hhu members voices, I was so shocked by how lovely all their voices were. I became obsessed with Seungcheol’s part in the second verse. BUT THEN THE BRIDGE TO FINAL CHORUS!!! INSANE!!! I CAN’T LISTEN TO THE OFFICIAL AUDIO BECAUSE THEIR ADLIBS ARE SOOOO LOWWWW 💔💔💔 LIKE SEUNGKWAN, DOKYEOM, AND WOOZI, YOU ESTABLISHED NEW NEURAL PATHWAYS IN MY BRAIN, YOU INCREASED NEUROGENESIS, I AM CHANGED

Okay I’m done now 😕

    Super

I know, I’m sorry 😭 I was still a baby Carat by then. Didn’t appreciate it because it’s not my type of music. I played Seventeen’s songs every day and obviously, it came up frequently. I then started to realize how good it is and now it’s a must listen to whenever I need to hype myself up.

I’m still a new ish Carat (only discovered them mid last year) but there have been songs that I initially didn’t vibe with but have grown on me in the last month. One of them is Cheers! I saw it mentioned a lot as people’s favourite subunit song but I just couldn’t get into it. I felt it didn’t showcase the leader’s vocals/talents well enough and the production is not my style.

But then I started watching the live performances of it and I was blown away by their stage presence. S.Coups and Woozi’s vocals contrasting and blending with each other sounded different in some performances from the official recording (I’m looking for more songs like this!!). Hoshi absolutely nailing the physical components of the dance but making space for the other 2. I understood the concept of why there was 3 leaders but watching them perform just the 3 of them just really cemented to me WHY they were chosen as the leaders. It’s definitely changed my opinion of the song and it’s made it to my top played playlist.

omg i cried so so so hard watching this performance when they first released it and the three watches after that LOL i remember that day so clearly bc it was the day before my high school graduation and i was already in my feels bc of that but the first quarter of 2021 was hard for all of caratland tbh and for me this performance felt like a deep breath after a fresh cry. idk how to explain it other than that 😭😭 all my love has always been my fav song from semi colon and listening to an acoustic version of this song lowkey solidified my love for them. never have i felt so many emotions for a song before this performance.

Rock with you for me , when I watched the Band version of the song (all of them in black) , my heart did somersaults that I almost cried listening to it ! Most of the times , their live performances make a song grow on me , their heavenly adlibs !

It is All My Love for me too! Although I love Seventeen ballads but somehow it didn’t impact that much earlier but these days I’ve been listening to it on repeat, especially Joshua’s “Its gonna be alright, its ok” is so comforting. Maybe a few songs are supposed to give you the vibe at a particular time and that just turned out to be now. The soft vocals ✨😭

I haven’t checked out this video, going to do it right now, thanks!

don’t hate on me this but it’s ‘together’ for me.

a little back story, i became carat last 2022, attended my first svt concert (the first and only ot13 concert for now huhu) in be the sun bulacan, and they played ‘together’ as their outro after they bowed in the stage.

the song was incredibly upbeat so i shouldnt be crying that day right? but it was the opposite. i cried because it made me think like even if that’s the first time we met, and i was just months baby old carat back then, ‘together’ made me feel i am part of them and will be them until the end. 😭

since then, i play together almost every day. it has the most beautiful memory that i could remember with seventeen. not to mention, i bawled my eyes out again when they sang the english version in follow tk bulacan. oh this song holds a special place in my heart, really. 🥹
