Korean article for [DKB](https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/117/0003941340), [VERIVERY](https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/108/0003327271), [DKB/VERIVERY/WHIB](https://isplus.com/article/view/isp202505090104), [The Wind](https://www.topstarnews.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=15660935). Other rumoured participants (based on hiatus notices) include NINE.i Seowon, WEi Junseo, and ATBO Yeonkyu (and Hyunjun), not sure if I’m missing someone else?
So sad that DKB is still struggling to make it. They’re loaded with skills and talents!
jellyfish opening verivery’s membership up for purchase TWO DAYS AGO when they knew this was happening is INSANE. we will only have 2 active members on there…. 2 out of 7….. and not only this, but yesterday, dongheon gyehyeon and kangmin (the THREE MEMBERS GOING ON ACTIVITY HIATUS TO JOIN THIS PROGRAM) were on live to celebrate the opening of their b.stage and their membership… like okay thanks jellyfish entertainment
Is this really confirmed though? No agency has said anything about Boys II Planet as far as I’m aware/nugupromoter seems to be very loose in confirmation. The news is the hiatuses but those have already been confirmed individually, with messages by the agency. (I believe it’s true but it’s not really a publication and at this point misinformation to say confirmed. Even the linked Naver/Korean articles have mentioned “[unable to confirm](https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/108/0003327271)”)
I’m shocked and sad about DKB; even though they are not as well known, they got a boost from Peak Time and then won another competition that resulted in another Japan tour. And these days, when even those born in ’04 are considered “too old” – Harry June is 04 – what will they think of Heechan, who has amazing dance skills but is a 99er. Not many things as brutally ageist as kpop.
Lordy lord. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many idols in active groups being sent to a single survival show before. Any more and it’ll start to look more like The Unit 2.0 at this point.
I’m really surprised about the wind. They have good numbers and have been building a solid fan base.
I really hope verivery still gives us some kind of comeback, I really don’t see why they need the show. We have waited so long for one.
Whib really deserve higher numbers, their music is great but I know they have struggled financially and remember when jayder cried on their anniversary live because he was so grateful they were still together.
If all the announcements I’m really surprised Waker haven’t announced they are sending anyone. I thought them and l5st might be the most likely.
Also Wei – enough is still one of my songs of the year. Criminal it went unnoticed.
Not too surprising after all the announcements in the last day or so – good luck to all of them!! TBH it’s become so competitive for already debuted idols on these survival shows but hoping they/their groups benefit from it. (I feel particularly bad for Verivery with so much of the group on hiatus, Lay Back remains in my rotation.)
Knowing the history of A.C.E, should I make the big assumption NewBeat will participate too??
Genuinely surprised (and happy) MCND has escaped… So far
*Knocks on every available piece of wood*
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bon or Seunghyun from BZ Boys ended up there. Though I think they’re waiting out their contracts at Chrome lol
Boys2Planet: the Planetnationing is trying to hurt me and it’s working. I’m just glad it’s Yangstar and not E-Chan. I don’t want to see him cry anymore
wasn’t planning on tuning in but now that thanatorn’s here,, ah shit here we go again 🙂↕️🙂↕️
As a casual who hasn’t been keeping a close eye on these groups, I’m the most, well, I wouldn’t say shocked – since It’s a common occurence in this industry; it would have to be a very big name for me to go wtf – but more like caught off-guard by veryvery.
But yeah, I guess we’re at the point where a lot of (especially older) 4th gen bgs have to start really looking at their options if they want to continue a career in entertainment. Sigh. I wonder who else will show up.
oh dear
Damn… I kind of knew it was probably over for Verivery but I seeing it in black and white is so sad. They have such a top tier discography too. 😭
There’s already so many faves of mine and filming has yet to begin. This is going to be a bloodbath omg.
yeah so if this is true kangmin is definitely making it, right
