I already mentioned this in the Weekly Corner, but I’ll say it here too. I love this statement. It’s not a grandiose proclamation of ‘Seventeen is forever’ or ‘Seventeen is eternal’. Eternity is not a given, it is something to work towards and strive for. It is also not easy. Saying that ‘Seventeen *will* ***challenge*** eternity’ is them not simply claiming to be eternal, but rather acknowledging that it is going to be difficult, yet still they are committed to grind and put in the work.
I also love that their goal is eternity and not supremacy. For me, that implies that they aren’t looking at this as a competition with other groups. This is Seventeen’s personal mission regardless of what happens in the broader Kpop landscape. They see it neither a race nor a marathon. They just want to keep on going no finish line in sight.
