🐯 (Without missing a beat): It’s Dino for me.

I don’t remember the interview but I think a few years earlier too Hoshi had said that Dino is the funniest member and that he is kind and witty. 🩷

Recent fav SoonChan Moments:

2. When Hoshi gives Seungkwan’s batch in GoSe Going Rangers and SoonChan say, ‘I love you’ to each other.

I can’t remember the exact interview, but Hoshi once explained his agenda in the Pledis Boyz era when assessing possibles teammates “I wanted talent. I ADORED Dino.”

I I feel like I can confidently say that Hoshi is Dino’s closest hyung! Whenever I see clips of them for trainee days, that’s what it looks like to me. And then Dino says things like this:

“He understands me more than anyone. Even when he’s not physically next to me, I feel as if he is. He listens to my worries and helps me think about a solution together. There are times when our opinions differ, but everything Hoshi hyung tells me are things I consider to be learned from.”

Dino also called Hoshi a brother multiple times:

“Real older brother-like existence. We have a lot of things in common too.”

“Like a real older brother.”

**MC** Which member is the most brother like to you?

**Dino:**”I’d say.. Hoshi. We share a mutual bond of sympathy and he has a similar personality as me. I followed him a lot before.”

“Hoshi hyung sometimes feels like ‘real brother’ to me.”

Also, perhaps he didn’t mean it that way, but in [this](https://youtube.com/shorts/rbbdMt99s1Q?si=mXXEEo-AbmeejCot) exchange with Seungcheol, when Cheol waa being sulky about his contact name in Dino’s phone, him saying “*even* Hoshi hyung is just Hoshi” felt significant.

Seungcheol asking Dino who was the most memorable hyung when he met them?
**Dino:** For me, the most memorable was Hoshi. Hoshi was really the most memorable. It was our first time meeting, it was supposed to be really awkward but he immediately put his arms around my shoulder and acted as if I was his close younger brother. I was like “wow, he really has a nice personality-he’s so friendly.”

Hoshi has adored Dino from the start like he always had a soft spot for him. I think both because of his young age and his incredible talent.

That letter Hoshi wrote for Dino in the melona room:

Dino mentioned that Jeonghan and Hoshi were the members who babied him the most. And indeed Hoshi is always incredibly affectionate with Dino. There’s so many sweet moments with those two. And the way Hoshi refers to Dino as maknae or makdongie ❤️.

**Dino about/to Hoshi:**

“Hoshi Hyung, I really like learning and growing together with Hoshi as the performance leader. He takes care of his dongsaeng a lot too, there’s no one like Hoshi hyung, really. He’s a really nice hyung and he’s really very nice to me.”

“You are my favorite hyung.”

“Hoshi hyung, I ended up giving you a late birthday present. I always say this, but thank you for always being reliable and supporting me. From the first time I met you, you’ve always been such a cool person. please stay healthy and live a happy life. I’m so grateful and glad that I have you by my side. I love you, Hoshi hyung.”

**Q:** Which Seventeen member do you most often confide your worries to?
“Vernon hyung, Hoshi hyung, and Jeonghan hyung. They listen to me very carefully. No matter what I say.”

Dino named Hoshi as one of the members that laugh a lot, “when he’s tired he laughs, when he’s having fun he laughs. He’s a genius at having fun everyday.”

“Hoshi Hyung likes to say, ‘I’ll do this, so please keep up with me.’ He doesn’t force it at all. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t like Hoshi Hyung, but I do like him. Sincerity, honesty. That is his leadership.”

“He’s a friend who is passion itself.”

“From learning Japanese to practicing, he does everything very passionately. Though he’s the youngest, he firmly has his own opinions and at times, he’s like an older brother. But there are times when he’s a little forgetful (laughs) He’s still our cute little brother we want to care for.”

Hoshi shared, “No matter what variety show we go on, being with Seungkwan makes me feel comfortable. But these days, Dino is fun. He’s incredibly honest and witty. As the team’s youngest, he arms himself and comfortably says things that the older members have a hard time saying. Thinking about it like that, he’s very kind.”

“Dino has already passed me. I admire and feel reassured of the maknae, He’s like a real brother to me and I respect him, I don’t think of him as a rival.”

Also the fact that Hoshi was watching ‘The Great Birth 2’ on MBC and saw Dino on there performing and thought”He has talents, he will be an idol one day.”

There’s so much love, trust and admiration between the two that was built overtime.
I think we’re so blessed to have two super talented main dancers as those two. Not only they are super talented, they’re incredible passionate, genuinely love dancing and performing and high standards for the quality of their performance. They’re constantly working on their craft. I think somehow they’re both members who are not known to have a lot of hobbies, they pour their all into dancing.
