Hello Carats! Happy Sunday! I'm back, sorry for skipping a week. I hope everyone had a great week!

The goal of this challenge is to show appreciation and to celebrate each pairing. Even if you can't think of anything, please feel free to drop a pretty picture of the pairing or ask about something you want to know.

Extra : I hope I'll be able to post the upcoming weeks but it's not certain because of some family circumstances. I'll do my best and hopefully it'll work out. If not, I'll be back in a few Sundays.

These two are so darling, I love them so much! I had to chime in for this pair.
I immediately think of the Seungseung chemistry when they hosted the iconic Bungee Jumping GoSe episode. And was so disappointed that Scoups wasn’t able to join Seungkwan in hosting ‘Choi and Boo’s Very Good Morning’.
I feel like they would’ve clashed a lot in predebut era; with Seungkwan finding Cheol strict and scary at times. Fortunately they’re a lot closer these days and seem to appreciate each other for their strengths. Cheol seems to rely on Seungkwan’s variety skill and wit, given his own shy and flustered nature. At the same time, I think Seungkwan really admires Cheol as a leader and his ability to present a strong front and bat for the team.
However, I think they’re more alike than different. Of course there’s the obvious pouting, competitiveness and short-temper, which they both seem to play up for the camera. But they also both care a lot about the group’s image and their place in the greater K-pop industry.
In one weverse live they talked about how the group had their personalities analyzed (different to MBTI). Seungseung were named the ‘horses’ of the group in the way they drive the group forward, which I think is very true.
Overall, while I don’t think they’re the closest duo in SEVENTEEN by a long shot, I think they’re both important pillars of the team. I would love love love to see more content of them together.
**Seungkwan about Seungcheol**
“Trustworthy hyung”
“We connect well with each other (when talking), so it’s comfortable.”
“A hyung we’re all grateful to for leading (us).”
“On one side, he is our very dependable leader of Seventeen, but on the flip side, he is actually very sensitive. I’m just really grateful for everything he’s done for us since our debut.”
“A very dependable person. No matter what comes up he’s always composed, and he’s got that aura around him.”
**Q: Among the members, who gives the most realistic advice?**
**Seungkwan:** “S.Coups. Aside from being a leader, he is one to think realistically. He is the type to think a lot. I remember after debut, he woke me up early in the morning because he was happy that our song Pretty U was 3rd on the chart.”
**From Hybe Japan TV, reasons why Seungkwan likes Seungcheol:**
– He’s reliable, he’s reassuring and when he talks to carats and the company on behalf of seventeen, he says it in a dignified way
– He’s good at conversation and at listening. His emotions fit well with Seungkwan’s, so they can communicate well together and can understand each other’s feelings. He can read the room.
– He’s charismatic on stage, it’s not just Seungkwan’s opinion, but Seungkwan’s family also said this about Seungcheol. They once did a stage without Seungcheol and right then Seungkwan thought “I know why Seventeen needs S.Coups” S.Coups definitely has energy, charisma and an aura.”
**Seungcheol about Seungkwan**
” A younger brother who is trustworthy and can be entrusted.”
“Someone who makes me laugh everyday.”
” I wonder how he’s able to live while bearing all those many thoughts and burdens. I think he’s an amazing person.”
” Seungkwan is a friend I can lean on.”
“He’s someone that thinks of the group the most. There are things that I should be doing as a leader, but Seungkwan often takes them on. I always feel bad, but he often does a better job than me at bringing the group together, so sometimes I let Seungkwan do it.”
“A member who makes me feel sorry. Many of the things I need to do as a leader, he would take the initiative and do it for me. I’m so sorry. And thank you so much.”

Seungcheol said a few times (I think, I only was able to pinpoint a live but I don’t have the clip.) that Jeonghan would be his stan attractor (ipdeok yojeong) to get into Seventeen and then Seungkwan or Mingyu would be his bias?

“Personally, Mingyu is the face I prefer. I feel that his face is handsome. I believe that Seungkwan possesses a certain charm in the way he expresses himself to carat.”
He also called Seungkwan his favorite member in the Hare fanmeeting.

When I look at Seungkwan and Seungcheol, they give siblings energy but like in a very specific way and I’m curious if anyone else get the vibes from them. They obviously adore each other and are very close but they have those moments here and there that remind me of a younger sibling and an older brother but more like a younger sister, or even a teenage daughter and their dad. It’s the strangest thing and yet I haven’t found a better way to describe what they remind me of ðŸ˜. Or from predebut, Seungcheol teasing verkwan about how close they are, or that [clip ](https://youtube.com/shorts/HhBLnrBF5O4?si=RAjN5mdnDg04AAUG) asking Seungkwan about his favorite member, it just gives such annoying big brother energy.
And there’s that birthday [live](https://youtu.be/qYjsKWpxOaY?si=TtiG8PJ0qr8nPGw-&t=1h00m16s) when Seungcheol mentioned the Ultra to Seungkwan. Even the comment about being happy when other idols said Seungcheol had that scary aura like someone bragging about their cool older brother.
I think the parent like vibes is something I felt in the famous waking up Seungkwan story, that someone already mentioned (more [clips](https://youtu.be/exDyB_HoD80?si=ZZZKd-y-6KOVctBw)). But also this [moment](https://youtu.be/BwvRrPbred0?si=NYRGCL4VEebuf_m5)in One Fine Day with Seungcheol waking up Seungkwan.
Anyway I love that about them because it’s such a unique dynamic in Seventeen I feel. And for all of Seungkwan reluctance, he can be sweet with Cheol as well. Like that caratland when Seungcheol was emotional, Seungkwan was so attentive with him. I think they clearly spends a lot of time talking about the group and they’re both great pillars for the team.
