If I had to describe the vibe this release with her previous release from 2022.
Her 2022 release felt like a playlist you put on whilst driving to a destination, and this 2025 release feels like you’ve reached your destination, unpacking and just setting things up.
Show is SO GOOD I like the energy so much! This, You And No One Else and Petal shower are my to 3 b-sides.
And I like how all the songs feel together in this album, I’ll keep listening to the whole album with no skips
Personally You and No One Else and Petal Shower are my favourites, the vocals are amazing all throughout the album. Last album had a softer vibe, this album has a melancholic vibe. You can hear how she improved vocally and how she chose to explore more out of her comfort zone. Really proud of her
You and no one else was written with IU in mind and nobody can convince me otherwise. It has this exact vibe.
I love My, but My definitely felt like a debut. This one feels like an artist really finding her voice. More personal, mature, connected to the material. Outstanding, really.
From the first few listens, out of the B-sides I like Space Invader and F.F.L.Y.
As well as Reno and Say My Name – more so Say My Name I think…I need to listen to the album a bit more though.
F.F.L.Y – not really my style but I love the slow build & the “stomping” bass & drums at the climax of the track!
Space Invader – Absolutely love Miyeon’s vocals in this one.
You And No One Else – super groovy. Caught myself getting distracted but immediately started grooving in my seat. Drums are stellar. Miyeon is stellar.
Star Petal – just goes to show that tracks in some sort of triplet meter are S-tier. So many options for dancing around the beat and creating a really interesting auditory experience. It’s like she’s playing around up there above the instrumentals. Fantastic!
Show – Really interesting track to finish up here – showcases Miyeon’s vocals in a bit of a different way than the rest of the album.
Overall – it’s a good evolution from MY a few years ago. I do wish she explored her lower voice a little bit more. She has such an interesting texture & timbre to her voice at all registers and I’ll never get tired of her belt out those high notes but… that lower register is a hidden gem! Glad she’s still writing lyrics as well.
I urge everybody to watch the live performances in the showcase, she was killing it out there.
I like every song. Show is probably my least favorite.
