    > “We are happy to continue with our cherished artist Taeyeon, based on the deep sense of trust we have built over the years,” SM Entertainment said in a press release on Friday.

    > “We will keep on supporting Taeyeon so that she may shine ever more as a global artist.”

  2. All I want is a 20th anniversary tour for Girls Generation. That’s the wish.

  3. In the past I wanted her to leave them, but seeing the state of agencies these days and what happened with CBX and Taemin..yeah maybe it’s better to stay with what she’s familiar with.

And yes she can still complain on bubble if they do hold up their end of the contract

This surprised me ngl! She didnt seem thrilled with them and could go literally anywhere. But hopefully it works out for her

  5. repeating my comment:

not 2 pat myself on the back but for years now ive said that Taeyeon LOVES kicking up a fuss when it comes time to renew her contract to get SM in line (the I hate my company, my company doesn’t do anything for me, UGH THEY SUCK, who knows if im staying here….),,,,,,and she ALWAYS re-signs

she has such a cushy position at SM, her and Yoona. It makes zero sense for them to leave and start somewhere else

ill repeat what I said a few months ago:

she just loves complaining y’all. her checks are coming steady, shes comfy

  6. Honestly I get it, better than the devil you know than the one you don’t. Hoping she was able to negotiate better pay and promotion!!

  7. I’m sure they are mutually entangled lol. Enough reasons for Taeyeon to go to another company but it seems that has too many downsides.

This doesn’t really surprise me. As much as taeyeon complains about SM (valid) the kpop scene is so saturated re debuting at a smaller company is more and more of a risk (looking at you 100) sometimes it really is better the devil you know

I actually think we’ll start to see less and less big 4 artists leave their companies in favor of negotiating better terms with their current ones, especially considering how companies like Hybe and SM are in pretty high profile lawsuits with their groups and this can have the unintended effect of discouraging other idols.

  9. Im sure she weighed that the devil you know is better than the one you don’t.

SM sucks, but for her, it doesn’t matter if she complains and complains. They know she has major respect in the industry. Especially with everything going on with CBX and Taemin, I’m sure that added even more reason to just sta the course.

Get those checks, girl. I’ll forever listen to you bash SMEnt.

DAMN. Kudos to SM for somehow keeping both her and BoA for this long 👏👏👏

  11. I knew SM could not afford to lost her as she’s still the face of SNSD along with Yoona. SM get your act together & promote better!

I’m surprised that people are surprised by this. If she were to leave, she wouldn’t even waste time complaining and would have just left. imo making complaints about minor things is in a way hoping that things can be done better.

Also, other than the big 4 and especially with the sketchy state of smaller agencies lately, I just don’t see an agency with the resources. And there’s almost 0% chance of her going to YG, JYP or Hybe. That’d be mind blowing if it ever happened lol

The bigger company..the easier getting things done and easier way to anything.. being company veteran comes with privileges we can’t even think about.. for SM it is still the torchbearer of Kpop since inception..no matter how much fuck up they do..they will stay nonetheless..

  14. We don’t deserve it – BUT COME TO AMERICA TAEYEON!! I gotta see you live at least once 😭
