This is the second in a series of discussion posts for NMIXX songs. Here's the one from last week on O.O. Basically we're doing one song a week, and you just post whatever you feel like (one sentence or an essay).
TANK (占) is the other song on the Ad Mare album. I guess because this was a B side there aren't as many versions. All I can find other than the studio version are lip-sync performances or live performances with poor recording quality.

One question I have is why the 占 character is used in the name — is it just because it sort of looks like a tank? The meanings of the character don't seem to have much relation.

I don’t like this song as much as O.O. The verses show off Lily and Haewon’s vocals really well and the pre-chorus is nice, but I don’t think the chorus is very good — why is being “freaky fresh” like a tank?
I’d also like to know who is doing the singing in the background during the chorus — is that Lily? As far as I know there’s no recording video so I’m not sure.
It’s a really fun song. I enjoy the beat and the freaky fresh refrain is an aural bop.
I truck with both the Ad Mare songs.
Tank is PR music. If you’re going balls to the wall in the gym that INCOMING sets you up for EMOM kettlebell swings with a 32kg bell. No pre needed.
And then when that sweet sweet heavenly voice of Lily kicks in you just rest for a bit. Then back to going to balls to the wall.
I like the song, especially Lily’s “Mirage” part. But I also know that I will never be able to 3 star this song in Superstar JYP…. I haven’t even finished it once yet lol. 9/10
This is actually one of my favorite songs by them. The vocals are so powerful and the beat is unapologetically energetic
The “Incoming!” Opening clip is iconic in my eyes. I love the whole vibe of the song and along with O.O i still play it regularly. I said it in the last thread but Blue Valentine brought them to my attention. Entwurf made me want to dig more. Ad Mare really is the one that made me go “Oh, this group is special.”
I know it’s not the lyrics but “Freaky fishy fishy” has indeed entered my vocal stim library.

Prob one of my least favorite of their discog. The vocals are great but the chorus is too weird for me
