  1. I have been following his career for years and I think he is a likeable guy and a talented artist. For someone who faced so many setbacks in his career and has been having stable television work (let alone a responsibly to the other members of the group), I would have expected him to be more prudent, do everything by the book and move on with his life. 21 months is a long time, but this does not justify a progressively relaxed attitude. It was basically a 9-to-5 desk job.

  2. I am so upset with this guy. ~~He didn’t actually had to go but decided to go because he was afraid of public backlash but slack so much that~~ he got 1000x worse pr than just not going.

And its not like anyone expected him to go beyond and carry the office he was stationed in for two whole years, show up, hide in some corner desk, do minimum work, play games half a day, go back and no body would batted an eye.

  3. I swear all these dumbass idols need to see a documentary on dumbfuck Steve Yoo, PSY (OK outcome but lessons learned), Song Seung Heon (ended well but also lesson learned), and dumbass MC Mong. Don’t fuck with military service. Do what you got to and fucking get it over with.

  4. All he had to do was showing up in the office and do regular office work for a couple of hours. Was it really worth it fuck your career over it?

  5. I am so disappointed. I like him A LOT as an artist and he seems like a nice dude.. what a way to fumble your career

  6. The fact that Winner have to once again move on from another member… I just feel so bad for them and the fans. You had one job, brother, and it was the easiest one.

  7. What a fool. Now he’s facing jail time, blacklisted from the industry and returning to his group and god knows what else. I’ve followed winner since almost
The beginning and I’m just over it

  8. it’s cooked

only in s. korea you get the same amount of prison time as rape for ditching military service

  9. While he’s a idiot to do this, its clear his supervisor was covering for him & his teammates felt some type of way about it bc Dispatch wouldn’t know if there was a leak by someone.

  10. He was so successful outside of music with his constant variety show appearances being part of Kang Hodong’s circle. Just a complete imbecile to screw that up and go to all those parties when he should have literally just sit in front of a computer.

His reasoning were “I woke up too late”, “I’m too tired”. This mf actually thought “military time” was vacation. He likely fabricated/exaggerated his medical records as well.

  12. I can shit on the military service all I want, but I will never support anyone who literally does dodgy things while serving. Why? It almost always come back to bite them. Once it’s your time, go, and don’t evade like Steve Yoo. Once you do, serve well…look at what happened with PSY.

It pains me that someone as talented as Mino is caught up in something he could have avoided. However, I do not pity him. It’s just 2 years, and it could have been avoided. See, most idols that went around the same time as him already got discharged and are doing their things.

I thank God everyday that my country had a brain to remove mandatory military service. Make that shit mandatory for all genders or don’t make it mandatory at all 😂

  14. Yikes man….i will never understand why these ppl just cant take it in stride and finish it asap. Trying to dodge it has never served any one well

as a winner and NJTTW fan, damn……

at the time of being a fan of both, i remembered that mino had at least one other controversy. so i don’t know if i can say that im surprised or not.

this is the worst way to legitimately end your career. like don’t-even-think-of-coming-back kind of career ending behaviour. :/

  16. Why did it take so long to formally charge him with it? I remember reading about him admitting evading some part of military service last year 😕

  17. Hasn’t he heard of stories of public figures trying to get away with evading military services only to have their career ruined? This is incredibly foolish of him. Missing more than 100 days isn’t worth ruining the rest of your life.

Not even a conscientious objector, it was a civil service office job. Real bad look on his part.
