I would like to express my deepest apologies for the tremendous trouble and concern my selfish actions have caused to all those involved, especially to the fans.
I have deeply reflected on my own shortcomings for having betrayed the expectations of everyone who supported my activities over many years and placed their trust in me. I take this incident very seriously, and I keenly feel how my actions lacked social responsibility and trampled on the feelings of the fans who have supported me. There is no room for excuse.
This matter is entirely my personal responsibility, and the members of XG bear absolutely no fault. They continue to face their musical activities with sincerity and work hard every day to deliver wonderful music to people around the world. Though it is a selfish request, I humbly ask that you continue to support the members of XG as you always have.
As for what lies ahead, I firmly vow here that I will fully accept the seriousness of what I have caused and never repeat the same mistake again.
Because of this incident, I have decided to step down as the representative of my company. At the same time, I do not intend to let this end as nothing more than a mere failure or regret. In order to regain the trust I have lost, I intend to become a stronger person and devote my life to doing everything I can to make amends.
Once again, I offer my heartfelt and profound apologies to everyone concerned and to everyone who supported me.
He has also formally been indicted and bailed per NHK news but I don’t have a translation of that article

I get why he had to resign and he did made a big mistake considering the Japanese laws but I personally couldn’t care less that he did drugs and I find it sad that he is resigning because he was a great creative.

Hopefully, XG will continue to thrive. As for Simon, hopefully he can kick that drug habit. That’s a very, very risky habit, especially with cocaine…
He’s just out on bail so he’s not out of the woods yet

XG is one of the most interesting groups out there. I hate that Simon did this and didn’t take a second to think about how the girls would be affected, not just by the news but by the outcome. I’m hoping they could push forward. He really had wonderful ideas for this group. Maybe they’ll be able to have more creative control. ALPHAZ could always tell they had an itch to be more involved in the creative process, especially Chisa.
I have hope but this sucks.

It’s a rough one. While what he did is obviously not good by any stretch, I think there are some draconian laws and views at play here and I sympathize with him on that level.
At the same time, he’s no stranger to the environment he’s in and he literally already had his previous career derailed by way of a drug scandal’s collateral damage, so for him to put the people around him in the same potential seat warrants criticism.

He should apologize to XG instead for ruining their careers

GENTLE REMINDER THAT NOT ALL MEMBERS OF XG ARE GIRLS.

It’s sad this happened. I know XG will still make amazing creative music and thrive despite this! Obviously I respect the cultural differences but it’s always sad to see someone lose their careers over something that would be a minor issue where I’m from

It’s been quite the rough month😔. Hope Simon can lay off the drug problems and reflect. I also hope XG can still push on despite the drawback. It would be great if they keep up their current direction, but it also means that they might need to put in more work to do so without Simon

That’s so sad, he was close to XG + their main producer I hope the music stays just as tea even without him

Mannnn, why can people be so self destructive, this really sucks. You know how strict the laws are in places like Japan , so why still take that risk? I guess addiction can make someone ignore the consequences…. I really hope he gets the help he needs because this isn’t just unfortunate for the group. He was a huge driving force, but also for himself and his health. It’s not worth messing up your body for a quick high. It’s not worth messing up all you build with an amazing group like XG. What a waste.
