this one was so strange because unlike the katseye or blackpink leaks these were hardly audible. but I’m really impressed that bighit took down the initial posts so quickly. the week before the album drop was probably when they gained the most attention from people.
but this was the second time I was actively aware of the direct source of leaks in K-pop. kinda crazy

It seems like very few people realized it leaked which is great. I looked up the user whose account is now deleted, and I saw a screenshot of them lying about where the Swim MV was filmed using a very sensitive topic. I seriously cannot understand how genuinely out of touch and terrible you’d have to be let your hate for people who don’t even know you consume you like this, and now you might be getting sued like come on😭

That user was so disgusting! They didn’t just leak, they were saying a lot of hateful comments to the members, prior to the comeback. There were “leaks” circulating but people didn’t listen because the main comment was it was just AI. so people just reported to Hybe. based on some people who listened to what they posted. turns out it was the instrumental for Body to Body, If my memory serves me right, they’re even in a GC that aims to spread hate / ruin the comeback.
But they actually posted a picture of the receiving a deluxe vinyl, a week before the actual album release. But the account is gone now.

i only heard about the leaks in the 3ish hours before official release because everyone on my timeline kept saying “if you spread those leaks i’ll whack your ass, report them if you see them”
genuinely though there’s been so many holes in security for these things in the past few years 😭 i still think about that person who got demos out of bighit by calling and pretending to be either a member or one of their closest producers, i can’t remember which right now lmao

Edit: Also, good on HYBE. There’s been running hate trains and drama around this release, that kind of coordinated attempt to damage people’s reputation and work should have legal consequences.
