Yoongi says: we can keep going until our 70s and 80s but we might have to do something a little different
    Yoongi thinks: BANDTAN RISE

  3. Hey, I’m sorry, idk if it’s the sub issue or reddit issue, but I can’t seem to find Jin’s interview post on the sub. I have even searched by sorting out the tags.

Can we have a megathread for all of their individual Rolling Stone interviews?

  5. Pretty and smart and kind and ambitious kitty 🥰

Also here for Bangtan Rises, 80s edition. Slowly though due to blood pressure. And careful with the knees! And don’t breathe in ~~normally~~ incorrectly or you have back pain for weeks. Billboard super number 1 song: Cypher 82 – *The youth of today is…something*

  6. I think him saying that he doesn’t have any negative feelings anymore is massively apparent in the way he’s been on stage at the concerts.

I know other people have said this already, but I feel such a different energy from him now. And it makes me really happy if he is more at peace than ever. He definitely deserves it.

  7. what a smart cat 😼. I really enjoyed this interview. I love the way he expresses himself and I relate a lot with him about when he was younger.

  8. Yoongi seems happier and more grounded, and takes the longer view of things, like when he acknowledges how there are cycles of finding and not having things to say. He really has the perspective to have a music career for a long time.

The small giggles /chuckles before answering the questions were so cute! He’s been so at ease through this era and just having a great time and that makes me so happy! 🥰🥰🥰

  10. Loved suga, ofc, but I’m really starting to dislike this interviewer. It seems like he has a story he wants to tell and he keeps trying to push these questions and bait answers to satisfy his narrative. Idk, it’s subtle but once I noticed it, I can’t unsee it lol

  11. I’m so glad that Amygdala and literally walking through the door at his final solo concert really meant he was healed. He also mentioned before on one of the interviews for D-2 that the way he raps wasn’t the same as before, that there was less… aggression in his rapping and lyrics? D-2 had softer tracks with more vulnerability and than Agust D, and D-Day showed the last phase of that journey for Yoongi. I’m really happy he truly has bloomed like a lotus flower.

Yoongi is so intelligent especially with music. His comment about the state of hip-hop music is similar to the comments I’ve seen on hip-hop subreddits.

The part about just enjoying themselves in this chapter is really interesting considering all the discourse about the tour production and choreographies. I’ve said before that I’m really enjoying seeing BTS just happy and relaxed, and hearing Yoongi say it too is nice to hear. It’s not just about preserving their energy and health for an extensive tour, it’s also them just taking a looser approach to performing compared to their earlier days and as opposed to how Kpop usually operates.

I’m so thankful they choose each other over and over again. “Staying together was obvious’. Bangtan is a FAMILY 🥺😭

I won’t lie. For the first five minutes or so of this interview, I was extremely emotional and even teared up a bit. I’ve missed Yoongi so, so much and to have him back 💯, giving us his (extended) thoughts on music and his group..it was EVERYTHING actually. As an ARMY, the title of the video was also very comforting 💜 I did so well with Joon and Jin, but I was also a tad distracted by his very pretty eyes. ANYWAY!! Thoughts…

    – Whenever people ask in forums which idols they think don’t fit the image or don’t seem to “like idol life”, Yoongi’s name is always brought up, without fail. It always makes me go 🤔 I sort of get where they’re coming from, especially when you think of stereotypes and the grains that go against them, but I’ve always seen Yoongi as a man who loves his job, his members and his fans, and is pretty darn good at it (*the job*). Talented rapper, amazing dancer, aspiring vocalist (*the way he KEEPS improving*), great at MC-ing, funny af, and always willing to do anything and everything for fans. He’s BEEN good at this for 10+ years. I’m glad he got the chance to reiterate it here on a big platform. Another one of those BTS refusing to be boxed in moments, and I love it.
    – All the stuff related to hiphop…..YES!!!! I’m loving Brian as an interviewer more and more. How come, in all these years, no one has asked Yoongi these questions? Like his favorite MCs? I swear the last time Yoongi was asked questions about hip-hop for an extended period was [back in 2015 with Namjoon](https://btsinterviews.wordpress.com/2021/07/21/07-15-meeting-hip-hop/) (*link to BTS interviews archive website*). His views on the current state of hip-hop, on his own songwriting, all so interesting! And *of course* he took the time to shout out JUICE WRLD (RIP).
    – I’ve said this before, but it feels like around 2018 or so, when they went through their biggest crisis as a team, Yoongi settled on BTS being his lifelong commitment and love, and has **never wavered** since. The way he speaks about the group’s future pre and post that period is completely different. And it’s just the most beautiful thing to witness and hear about. He is SO SURE, so certain about them as a group. Not only that, he is *making active plans* on fulfilling that commitment, making sure they stay sustainable, growing. I love that he mentioned it’s important they put their physical and mental health first, and enjoy themselves first and foremost. No one deserves to do that more than these seven.
    – His reply of *”it’s just part of the job”*, about certain difficulties being an idol, is a mindset I think most of them hold (*and JK has also voiced out*), and I think is the healthiest one they can have, since none of them are looking to quit anytime soon. It’s one of those sad realities, unfortunately.

Finally, I will always adore Yoongi’s ability to cut through all the layers and give simple, straightforward but incredibly wise answers that have you thinking for a long, long time. I will be pondering his answers here for a while. How lucky are we to have this man (back) in our lives!

Loved his answer about the current state of hip hop, and appreciated his acknowledgement at how sad it as that so many young rappers have been dying.

    Always, always love his smirks
