How do you think she did? imo she did the best in 'ATTITUDE' and 'BLUE'. For 'Girls', she still has to put considerable effort to pull it off but I do think it's one of her better ones recently
Interestingly, I also saw this comment under the 'Girls' fancam with 300+ likes
It's a shame because ever since the pneumothorax surgery, it feels like she's mixing too much breath into the high notes, singing in a semi-falsetto style as if she's holding back (machine translation)
For comparison, this is Winter (and aespa) singing Girls at the 2023 Circle Chart Music Award and contrary to the "popular" opinion I actually prefer her current way of singing 'Girls'.

I wanted to add their unreleased song ‘In Halo’ but I haven’t found a decent fancam and there’s also Next Level but we heard enough of Winter doing this song, so I didn’t included it.

Chesty approach requires more effort. I think it’s generally smarter for singer to have mixed belts. Even without pneumothorax, concerts are like 2h long. Ningning has always done a more heady approach with high notes as well especially live, lighter than Winter. I think Karina is the only one in aespa who sings/sustains notes with more chest voice constantly (Savage and Whiplash pre chorus, Girls ending, Thirsty adlib).
Edit: also, if you’re into these comparisons, you can check the way Winter sings the bridge of Whiplash in the studio version and live. She almost always goes lighter towards the end in comparison to the audio.
