That statement they put out is way too long. All her reps had to say was “she has nothing to do with any negative entanglements regarding her family.” End of story.

“The artist began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for many years, apart from her family. As such, she is not in a position to be aware of or involved in the private matters of the individual in question.” – It’s kind of sad that has to be used as a defence.

The way y’all are trying to make this about her and not about the perpetrator is extremely weird.. Always trying to hold women accountable for men’s actions

When are we gonna stop blaming women for the actions of men?

It’s really messed up that she is getting hate for her brother’s actions. If he is guilty I hope he gets properly prosecuted. People need to leave her alone. Nobody can control their family members’ actions.

Didn’t she join her brother’s label, or something like that? Am I misremembering?
I don’t condone people linking her to what happened (that is disgusting and wrong), tho that part of the statement saying she was apart of her family and knew nothing about their private lives confused me, cause I thought they worked together to an extent. I feel like the company could’ve worded it better
Anyway, Jisoo is NOT to blame so we should be focusing on the brother’s actions tbh

did u even read the statement, it was mentioned there that the accused has only ever given her advice in the beginning when she was establishing her company , and was never financially compensated because he was never hired , the company has no connnection with him and jisoo is the ceo and handles everything, no financial or any kind of support has been given to the accused and will never in the future
What more haters want , they just want to throw mud at her for crime she didn’t even commit

Everyone is talking about Jisoo, nobody is talking about the brother or the victims. Everybody is using it as an “I gotcha” moment. When I heard the news, I felt so sad and worried for Jisoo and her sister. Like really why is everyone blaming Jisoo and only talking about her, not her scumbag brother? Also, just because she’s his sister, attended his wedding, or took some work advice from him doesn’t mean she knew or supported his actions. All this time nothing bad about him was known until last year, when he got arrested for a criminal activity. So of course all these years she might not have known anything bad about him and saw him as her own lovely brother.
The trademarks of Blissoo fully belong to her, it’s an independent label created by her. Blaming women or Jisoo for a man’s actions is so disgusting and f***ed up. Trying to hold women accountable or using it as a way to hate on female idols is absolutely predatory and shouldn’t be tolerated. I feel so bad for the victims and also Jisoo and her family. I wish them all wellbeing and recovery and for the victims to have their justice

Even with this statement clarifying everything and people still commenting under this post like they didn’t care to read and is just here because they don’t like her. The statement is also released from the top law firm in SK so it’s not just a word of mouth

Her brother sounds really horrible and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s also been horrible to jisoo. Has she ever publicly spoken about being close to him? If not then I think why should she suffer for his mistakes

Some of these comments are crazy. If you are a hater just say it. Do you guys know about your family’s private life because I sure as hell don’t and I’m close with my family. Bunch of people blaming Jisoo instead of her brother is wild

this is what i’ve BEEN sayin!! plus why is this about jisoo and not the victim?? the fact that the victim had to even say that jisoo was not aware of the situation is messed up in more ways than one

Apologies if I am wrong don’t want to sound insensitive but wasn’t her brother a CEO of a company that launched the entertainment label BLISSOO, which manages her solo activities? If that is the case that’s slightly odd to say they don’t know each other’s personal life but work with each other to an extent. Hopefully it all gets resolved and the victim has some peace and that POS goes jail.

I think the lawyers messed up. Don’t see the: we are seriously condemning domestic abuse and was not aware of anything… this comment is like don’t link us together we are family in name etc etc… what about sending condolences to the victims?
I don’t hold her responsible as abusers and victims can hide well but this response is the shittiest one ever. At least say you feel sorry for the victims and then rectify the issues. Stating you have nothing to do with the situation without empathy is a low move.
To be honest most of us can’t control ourselves so how could she control her brother?
I hope the victims get justice.

I have no idea why people with world famous family members just can’t stop doing crime. JUST DON’T DO CRIME. It’s so easy. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with people who think they can just get away with it because they have a famous and rich family member. Listen, if you do the crime your money train ends. It ENDS. This is not new.
I don’t have a famous direct family members but by extension of friends and cousins I have actors, singers and politicians in my family. I don’t even post on instagram or facebook anything controversial because I AM AWARE. Also I don’t do crime. Because I just do like, legal things and it’s so damned easy doing that, and like not be an asshole.

I’m glad her legal team spoke up, people have been absolutely vile with their speculations! And if Jisoo’s brother really was using Jisoo’s name to manipulate people, shame on him. It’s disgusting how often idols’ families will use their idol relative(s) for clout, fame, money, or other nefarious purposes.

Why is Jisoo being blamed? Are people trying to make her out to be Nicki Minaj? It’s dumb to blame someone for the actions of their adult sibling. She is not his keeper. Even the wife said she’s not involved.

so those previous kmedia reports from when blissoo was incorporated saying it’s a subsidiary to biomom which jisoo’s brother was a ceo were false? it didn’t really make sense to me at the time either but i just took their word for it.
either way jisoo is not at fault her brother is a POS. i mean if she really was supporting him i could understand the disappointment to an extent but focus and anger should always be on the actual predator..
