Ugh does this mean only people with Amazon accounts can buy merch? I love BTS but I’m not going to join Amazon for them, sorry.

Sounds sick, somebody needs to report back on how it worked when they do it!

I tried their walk out tech at Amazon Fresh’s grocery store a few times. It’s seriously cool but not 100% effective (in a good way). Got some freebies sometimes bc they didn’t catch everything in my cart 😆
Edit: this was during a trial run so could be 100% efficient now lol

Will Weverse still offer off-site pick-up, I wonder? I’m Canadian and currently boycotting Amazon.

oh interesting. I tried this a while back in a brick-and-mortar amazon store. I definitely felt like I was breaking some kind of rule lol
also this explains the sudden crackdown on unofficial merch if amazon is involved. bc I was like, why are they suddenly concerned about the guys outside the venue selling $20, obviously unofficial, tees?

They had this for the Le Sserafim LA pop-up during their tour and several of my items were not picked up by the system on my way out (didn’t notice til I left since they didn’t show me an itemized list before paying.) So we’ll see how this goes lmao
But for those who haven’t used it before, it’s kind of like UNIQLO’s automatic scanning bins during self-check out.

I did it before at the DC airport, it was confusing at first but also cool. With the lightsticks and certain items I hope there is a worker there who limits the amount of items people take at least.

Ugh I hate these, I was overcharged at a stadium once because it picked up a bunch of someone else’s stuff as we exited near each other at the same time. Was irritating to dispute.

okay so let me make sure i’m understanding. we still line up to buy merch. walk up to the dudes or gals because item quantities restrictions will be in place. then i walk to the exit where the cameras already saw what i was given. then what happens? is it like self checkout where a machine at some point will give me my total and i tap my card? and i get to pick email or print receipts? what keeps the person from making a u-turn and going back to staff to get more? instead of going to the end of the line.

I’m very curious to see how this works! I’m going early Saturday to try to get a tour shirt and stamp. Hopefully it helps it go a bit quicker.
Maybe this will speed up merch lines…
