I’m particularly intrigued that Hanroro is the sole lyricist for Heavy Serenade. We might be seeing a track that leans heavily toward Korean lyrics.
Poetry is one of the main themes for this EP, and Hanroro is very much into poetry herself. I can’t wait til we hear the full song!
Edit: also, is there a possibility that the song we heard from the trailer is LOUD, and not Crescendo…? Lily’s the primary lyricist for both of them! Ahhh I’m so excited 😆

Edit: Lily interviewing HANRORO back in 2024 to currently all this! Also I got to know about SINCE from Show Me The Money 10, so it’s also cool to see her being credited in the past few NMIXX albums!

im literally shaking in excitement LILY songwriting credits for 2 songs and Bae’s first lyrics in Different Girl!!!
it’s way too early to be doing this but im so hyped so i gotta go track by track a little LOL:
**1. Crescendo**
* Lily being named first in the lyrics likely means she was the one who contribruted the main body of the song lyrics like in Reality Hurts! which slay for her
* Composers – i can’t tell for sure what this song will sounds like because all the named composers have such different genres LOL 2Summery is pretty new in the scene, Kristine Bogan’s the main composer for Super Shy, while Ido Nadjar’s part of the RICO and Golden Recipe team. So yeah, this is really up in the air
**2. Heavy Serenade**
* Hanroro is the lead lyricist here omgg ive been seeing loads of K-nswers geeking over this too haha Hanroro’s more of a pop rock singer so i feel like that fits the vibe of the title track a lot
* i won’t go over everyone but just notes that ESUM took part in Blue Valentine and TIC TIC, while THE HUB are basically contribrutors to majority of NMIXX discography. so this’ll be mixpop at its core methinks!
**3. IDESERVEIT**
* apart from danke the goat behind the lyrics of Slingshot, Blue Valentine, and Papillion, i don’t know much abt the composers and lyricists here though basic google search tells me Agwi is a band (feels kinda of light bossa nova and jazz). a languid jazz track would be awesome ngl
**4. Different Girl**
* Bae’s first mark of lyrics in NMIXX discography !! she’s working with SINCE too who helped write Crush on You with Haewon
* amusingly, Kyle Buckley is one of the songwriters of Gnarly…lmao Bava and Anthony Watts are also LA-based songwriters so it could go either way in terms of trendy pop nowadays or smth completely different
**5. Superior** – insert earlier what i said about danke and ESUM lol. the fact it’ll be for a collab for T1 Home Ground tells me it’s gonna be similar to Ridin’, which THE HUB helped produce too.
**6. LOUD**
* the fact Lily is solo lyricist in Loud is awesome and if the snippet we heard from the trailer is Loud and not Crescendo, then we’re up for such a treat hehe
* really interesting mix of composers though – UPSAHL is one of the composers of Dirty Work, Alex Goldblatt does R&B, Rob Knox took part in a lot of iconic American R&B too (e.g. Rihanna songs). but i mean, if it really is the snippet we heard earlier, then it’ll be very synthpop heavy!

So we have Lily with 2 lyric credits (including “LOUD” being *only* her!) and, as we already knew, Bae contributing to “Different Girl” (fitting, lol). Our girls are getting more involved in the process!
My only regret is no Haewon contributions this time. Hopefully next EP/LP our neurotic genius jokester will lend her endless talents to a song.
