    >This is MYSTIC STORY.
    >
    >First and foremost, we take this matter very seriously and sincerely apologize to our fans for the concern it has caused.
We would like to address the situation regarding the ‘CARTOGRAPHY OF THE UNCONSCIOUS’ video for ‘$ECRET no more’,
‘, a track from Billlie’s first full album,
‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two’.
    >
    >Immediately after becoming aware of concerns regarding similarities between certain characters in the video and specific works, we conducted an extensive internal review of the matter. This process involved a comprehensive review of the entire production process alongside the director responsible for the video’s planning and creation.
    >
    >We have confirmed that the video was produced as an original creative work, rooted in the director’s distinct creative vision and pre-planning. We have verified that there was no intentional appropriation of other works nor any violation of copyright or creative ethics.
    >
    >Billlie’s artistic journey has always been built on a foundation of unique imagination in close collaboration with artists. This video was completed through a combination of creative production methods, and we deeply apologize for any concern this has caused our fans.

    >Moving forward, we will implement even clearer creative standards in content production. To protect the artistic integrity of our content, we will not utilize generative Al in any form that could compromise the quality or completeness of our work throughout our production process. Furthermore, we are currently conducting a comprehensive internal review of all upcoming content scheduled for release related to Billlie’s new album to ensure its originality and quality.

at this point can we be sure there was no AI involved in the music creation itself? i am so worried

  3. >we will not utilize generative Al in any form that could compromise the quality or completeness of our work

If they wanted to not utilize generative AI in the future this sentence would’ve stopped after “in any form”…

  4. >no longer use generative AI in any form in the production process of Billlie’s work

didn’t the same thing happened during their last comeback? the artwork inside their physical album or something, where the artists caught using AI?

this is all PR to wind down the noise, doubt it wouldn’t happened again…>!granted if billlie still exists by that time!<

from what supposed to be their moment with the release of 1st full album, to disappointments all over the place. EP disguised as LP, the use of g*n*i, and now words of nothingness. i feel awful for the girls seriously. they’ve one of the consistent discographies in kpop, but unwarranted controversies may put their legacy in jeopardy

  5. horrible statement in every conceivable way

    – no disclosure on what their “investigation” revealed or what methods the director used exactly that resulted in “unintentional” plagiarism lol. and lets be real they knew exactly what they were doing

    – no apology to the niccolo team

    – still aiming to use gen AI as long as they dont get caught even though this is the second massive backlash in a row, one that hurt their sales last time to boot

shame that a group with such consistently great discography and wonderful vocals has such a bullhead for a ceo who refuses to hear reason even as the group gets massively flamed for their long awaited comeback

Everyone on x rightfully roasting their statement it not even the first time they been caught with doing generative Ai all of this could have been avoided had they been conmissioned by the ceo Jungsu himself I get the label in a tough spot atm it evidented with Billlie concept photos this comeback but there zeroexcuses to use Genrative Ai before all that people had to be creative with what little budget they had now the label and potentially the individuals involved are now gonna face potentially legal consequences and the group reputation being harmed which all could have been avoided in the first place

  7. NaaNaaNaurDont on

That sucks. Billie’s concept is so strong on it’s own it worked before the rise of AI slop and now they’re just confirming they will still cut corners as long as we don’t notice it ….

  8. Quincentuple on

They’re really just digging the grave deeper at this point…

I actually wonder if they genuinely don’t know how generative AI functions.

  9. I feel like I just need to interact less and less with the output of kpop creative teams, aside from the music (unless AI completely takes that over as well) as time goes on.

Not only did this read like a “we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing” kind of statement, they couldn’t even be bothered to commit to not using AI, or at the very least, not telling everyone that they plan to keep using it. Genuinely fuck these people.
