NiziU is awesome, and I love it when they interact with NMIXX (there’s a *significant* age overlap). While their music isn’t as adventurous as NMIXX’s, there are some key similarities: (1) They always sing live — expected in Japan, and (2) their best singer is a mixed-race native English-speaker.
I discovered NiziU several months before NMIXX debuted since, as I’ve said before, I come from the Japanese side of the Asian Pop fandoms. It took me even longer to figure out my NiziU bias than for Twice (Riku and Jeongyeon respectively), unlike NMIXX where Jiwoo stole my heart immediately.
PS: Rima is a *very* good rapper (in English and Japanese). If her Korean was better, I’d love to see her freestyle with Jiwoo. As it is, since she’s English-fluent, I want to see her rap alongside Li’l Mozzie!
