It was announced that the school band team from Steal Heart Club are currently preparing to debut together this year under Kakao and more information about their debut will be revealed sequentially.

Steal Heart Club was a Mnet x Kakao Entertainment band survival show that aired between October-December 2025, where viewers had to vote for their favorite contestant per position to debut them as a band.

The contestants who ranked 1st place in their categories in the final recently debuted as hrtz.wav in April 8th and are managed by Kakao.

The school band team, who [performed QWER’s T.B.H](https://youtu.be/bwVhhu4IRXQ) together in the survival’s first episode, were a popular set of contestants who survived until the final and most of them ranked 2nd place in their categories (except Kyunguk, who ranked 3rd place in keyboard).

The school band team consists of:

* Lee Yoonchan (2005) – vocal. He was also a contestant in Boys II Planet K who got eliminated in the first episode.
* Kim Keonwoo (2009) – guitar
* Cheong Eunchan (2010) – bass
* Kim Eunchan (2009) – drum
* Kim Kyunguk (2008) – keyboard

The article mentions it but these guys were the clear 2nd favourites the *entire* show, other than Masha who left the show they were some of the only ones who reliably came close in votes to the eventual hrtz.wav lineup (there’s also Hanbin Kim and Oh Dajoon, who incidentally I hope find their own opportunities also, they did great). Yoonchan was the only finalist who had a real shot of overtaking their position winner (it really was a nail-biter between him and Riann), but as a whole audition team they were clear second the whole time, I think it’s just that their youthful “school band” vibe and preferred concept was one that spoke less to the general voter population; the people it did speak to it spoke to LOUD though, hence wanting to debut them too.
