They’re trying to use the fact that he wore it like 10+ years ago as a gotcha moment when that just kinda solidifies he really doesn’t know what it means. This isn’t GD’s first controversy involving antiblack imagery and while it’s not up to me whether or not this apology is accepted, it was absolutely warranted.
I don’t understand why he owns that shirt in the first place, I don’t even understand why the shirt exists at all because the front is just as offensive as the words on the back. And I really have to wonder how this is at least the second time he’s worn this without a single soul on his time noticing how absolutely awful it is. If at his big age GD somehow doesn’t know better, somebody on his team absolutely should. There’s really no excusing this.
