Heavy Serenade’s a cappella highlight melody and original highlight melody both give me almost no clue what the actual song will sound like. I also can’t even tell which parts of the full track the snippets from each highlight medley are supposed to be from. It feels very similar to the whole Blue Valentine highlight melody situation last time.

Wow, Heavy Serenade sounded way different than what I had in my head. My headcanon was something way softer. Anyways, the snippet has to be a pre- or post-chorus. Very reminiscent of early in-your-face NMIXX. So excited for how it fits with the a cappella snippet.
IDESERVEIT and Different Girl are my early standouts. Loud (probably an all-English song [E: nvm, there’s definitely some Korean in the album trailer]) is the poppiest I’ve heard NMIXX sound. It probably gets an MV, and hopefully some additional promo.
I am not yet sold on Superior. The instrumental doesn’t do anything for me, unfortunately. It probably hits hard in a concert setting with a live band though.

Heavy Seranade sounds so huge, Sullyoon part was giving red velvet vibes, and it sounds like we’re hearing the change up section of Different Girl(the vocals are so raw?). I don’t know how LOUD isn’t going to be the best song on the album. Like there’s just NO WAY it’s not

I know they’re holding back on ‘Heavy Serenade’ but it does mean that it really hasn’t gripped me yet. I think the ‘LOUD’ snippet from the a cappella was a bit more interesting but the one used here still sounds really nice too! I didn’t really like the I-D-E-S-etc of ‘IDESERVEIT’ but it might play better with the full song. Even though ‘Different Girl’ was ranked last on my a cappella list I did like that version more than the one we heard here, the backing vocals in the a cappella just added a bit of texture I feel is needed.
Overall I’m really excited for ‘Crescendo’, ‘Superior’ (we’ve heard both and I love them), and ‘LOUD’ which seems like it’ll be amazing. I’m really interested in hearing what they’re holding back from ‘Heavy Serenade’. I don’t really know how to feel about ‘Different Girl’ and ‘IDESERVEIT’, I liked the a cappella’s but I don’t really like the snippets we heard now but it’s not long until we can hear the full songs and I’ll reserve my full judgement ’til then!

Those ‘LOUD’ lyrics oh my goodness, Lily the woman you are.
I’m so intrigued by Heavy Serenade, they’re definitely holding back big snippets. With Different Girl, I think they played the start of the song, and for now it’s giving something a little softer, like Passionfruit maybe. But the section they cut off was really interesting.
IDESERVEIT is definitely growing on me a little. I wasn’t really interested in it in the acappella medley, but the same went for PODIUM and that ended up being my favourite song off the album. The instrumental for it sounds really good, so I’m getting excited to hear it.
I hope hope hope the Superior instrumental hits hard. I love the melody and how epic it sounds, it just has to be supported by that instrumental. I hope it sounds very dramatic and grand. the studio version is definitely going to be different to the live version.

The way we’ve heard two different parts of Heavy Serenade and have zero clue what the song is going to actually sound like is maddeningly masterful editing.
I’m watching this just after waking up and IDESERVEIT had me somehow dancing while still in bed 😂
I will never stop appreciating how experimental NMIXX is.
